A Night out with Bill Cosby

ImageAndrew and I got tickets to the First Yell at A&M. It is like a pep rally for the first home Foot Ball game of the year. Which we lost by four points this year. This was the first time they have lost their opening game in more than twenty years, OUCH. Bill Cosby was the guest comedian. It was really fun to see him in person. He is 71 yrs old now. He made a lot of old people jokes and lectured all the single college student (males) about getting married and what to really expect from a marriage. It was really funny. They also had a percussion group and severel dancers that were really cool. It was nice to get out with friends and leave the kids at home with a sitter.

Water Fight
We put up the pool for Corbin and his friend Adrienne to play in. They had so much fun with the water guns and the hose. We all ended up getting soaked

Chucky Cheese!!!

Image
We have been using "The Happy Jar" as Corbin's motivation. He is really trying to earn marbles. This was our first attempt, he earned a trip to Chucky Cheese. He was thrilled to go. We never know how he will really like stuff like this, so unpredictable. There was quite a few things to do that did not terrify him. He did not want to leave and has been asking to go back ever since.

All by Myself

Image
Carter's growing independence is starting to overpower my better judgment . He really does not like me helping him, when he thinks he could do it alone. Eating is just one of several things he wants complete control over. Which usually results in him doing it his way, by Hand.

Mmmm, this is good, want some?

Say "CHEESE!"

Carter is a little scavenger, I guess feeding him five times a day still leaves him ravenously hungry. I have not locked the cupboard where I keep the cereal. I usually find him in the kitchen with the boxes contents dumped all over my floor. At least this time he came asking for permission. Look at that innocent little face.

Boys will be Boys

We had a leak in our water line and the city brought in a back-hoe to dig up our pipes. The boys thought this was the coolest thing ever! They wanted to be out on the porch watching him
Image
Corbin went and found all his construction toys so he and Henry could be in on all the action

Making messes of his own

When we weren't outside all the boys were glued to the window

Carter is always happiest when he is outside

Carter thinks that feeding Kaydee is so much fun

Corbin just wanted a funny picture of him in here

Trying to play together peacefully,
not always a success

Oh Boy Look at Me!
Carter just learned to climb onto Chairs all by himself. This quickly resulted in spilled bowls of cereal, stolen apples, salt & pepper showers, and other various misdemeanors.

Celebrations!

Image
I felt bad that Carter did not get a celebration on his Birthday so we threw a party for him on Sunday. You can't have your First Birthday without the Cake Demolition. We had a few friends over for cake and ice cream. He did not really get into it as well as I thought he would. He mainly just licked frosting off his fingers.Image
Image
I guess Corbin thought he needed a little help and took matters into his own 'Hands.' This was the outcome.

We had planned on doing a Double Birthday Party for Carter and his friend Honor. Carter is just a day younger than her. She was sick on Sunday, but we still wanted to get together so we did another party with just us so we could get pictures of them together.

Oh course Carter was the cry baby, Honor was loving it.

Lake Conroe, Texas

Image
My parents let us use their time share to go stay at Lake Conroe for a week. We didn't ever even go in the Lake but we had alot of fun. The Coltons came up and spent one night with us. It was fun to have a whole day and a half with them. We really miss them in College Station but at least seeing them once in a while is better than nothing. Of Course, Corbin and Ava had so much fun running through the hall, up and down the stairs and of course going swimming, which we did three times will they were here.

The boys were not so hip on the pool, but they both really enjoyed hanging out on the patio
Image
On our walk by the lake we found a cute little duck family. Carter was ready to jump in after the ducklings. We brought bread but Corbin was not really interested in sharing 'good food' with the ducks.

Image
In addition to swimming every day we made a trip to the outlet stores. I didn't really find any cute clothes but our one good find was worth the trip. Gloria, the lost favorite hippo was found at Osh'Kosh. This made Corbin's day, (even if she is purple) she looks just like his old one. Wendy, you can now be off the hook for not selling us your back-up hippo. J/k
Gloria is on the right, We got Mousie for Carter

Happy Birthday Carter!!!

Image
Carter did not get much of a Birthday celebration. I forgot to even bring a candle to put in his muffin for breakfast. I did bring him one present and he got this cute outfit (above) from G-ma Redd.
Image
Of, course we went swimming again in the morning before we packed up and left. Carter even kindof enjoyed himself this time.

Carter chill'n with a mowhawk. He is obsessed with chairs lately.

On our way home Andrew spotted the coolest shopping center so of course we had to stop. They even had a Lakeshore store which is a teacher's haven and a wallets demise. I walked out only spending $50 bucks. We may have to go back now I know it is there. Here is a picture of a fountain at the shopping center. Every store had a European look that was really fun. Anyway, that was our summery of our trip. Kinda low key
