Corbin was really excited to be a "Twiner" as Dad called him when he and Carter got to wear matching shirts to church. He always likes it when he and Carter match. If I dress Carter first, Corbin will always want a shirt that matches him.

PAJAMA PARTY
During our Stake Priesthood Mtg on Sat. I had over some friends. All the kids got so dirty playing outside we decided to give all of them a bath. (Three more not included in the picture) They had fun, all the moms got a shower too-unintentionally. No one brought pajamas but we were able to outfit all of them. Notice the girls are in Spider Man, Buzz Light Year and Blue Puppy Dogs. I should have got a picture of the three babies too.

This was not the same day as the Pajama picture.
Just a classic bubble bath picture.

This semester I have been Babysitting for a friend who is in Medical School. We watch Four Month old Evelyn now everyday. I realized that I am far from ready to be a mother of three and I admire all of you who are. She is such a good baby but it has been an adjustment for us. Carter is finally starting to get over his jealousy phase where he would cry every time I held the baby. Now he is very curious and always wants to explore everything about her.

He loves laying on her blankets whether she is there or not. Check on those cute chubby legs.
Image
Corbin absolutely adores her and is so cute and gentle with her. He loves to make her smile by telling her how beautiful she is. He is going to be such a Heart Breaker someday

It is Carter's job to help feed to dog. He is such a great helper

Waiting out Ike

ImageWell, we're still here. We just finished waiting out Hurricane Ike. The hurricane came ashore as a strong category 2, and weakened to a category 1 by the time that it passed to the east of us. It blew a lot and dumped a good deal of rain. Our yard has some debris in it, but no trees down or anything. We lost power about 9AM but it was back up by ten. As I write this I can see the sun set and the skies are clear over head.

Thursday night the church opened as a shelter for members in Houston stakes. They asked to have priesthood there at all times, so I volunteered to spend Thursday night at the church. We were responsible for checking people in and getting them situated if they got there late. We had two families show up at about 10. The ones who did show up said that they had been on the roads for about 24 hours. They first tried to go to San Antonio but couldn't get there, nor to Austin, so they came here. By that time we were told that the building in Bryan was already full. It ended up that there really was very little for the priesthood to do there that night so we ended up getting some sleep. I have to hand it to the bishop though. He was there until after 11 PM and was there first thing in the morning.

Yesterday school was closed so that people could get ready and make any travel arrangements that they needed to. It was kind of weird that school was closed due to bad weather but the weather was great all day. So we spent it getting things ready for the storm, cleaning the house and yard and stuff.

Friday night we were a little worried about the possibility of windows breaking, and the boys sleep right beneath the window in their room. We had them sleep in our room. Things went surprisingly well. We went to bed late. I woke up about 4am, it looked really windy outside, but it looked like things would be OK, so I went back to bed.

Today we just played it lazy, no where to go and nothing to do. We napped and played around. By the end of the day we all had a little bit of cabin fever and were glad when our friends called and invited us over to their house for dinner and a few games. So here are a few pictures of us weathering the Hurricane, sorry no actual pictures of the hurricane. We didn't really see anything all that interesting. It just looked like a bad thunderstorm, with out the lightning.

I think that Carter drove more than anyone today.ImageImageImageImage

Corbin has only watched Toy Story maybe twice, but he loves to jump off everything shouting "To Infinity and Beyond!!!" So when I saw this Buzz Costume on Craig's List for a couple bucks, I had to get it. He looked so cute flying around in it.

Just some random pictures of the kids.

To say that the boys enjoy bath time would be an understatement. We usually bathe them together and they have so much fun splashing each other and dumping water on each other. As you may see it is usually a very wet affair for all who may be involved.
Image
Carter figured out how to open the wipes and pulled them all out one...by...one, and was very pleased with his little mess.
Image
Corbin's friend had a Birthday Party. They had a bouncing castle which Corbin thought was just Great! Check out this pinata! It's as big as he is. Carter really wanted in on the action and nearly got hit a time or two.

Corbin took ta few bites of his cupcake

Then Carter finished it off for him. He has no qualms about making a mess or stuffing his face with foods of high sugar content. (Just what we need...more sugar! ahh)
