We were babysitting for some friends, I decided to set up the kids pool and have a water day. The kids didn't want to come in. They loved the little slide, the sprinklers and jumping on the trampoline.

Memorial Day
We started our Memorial Day out with a Boy Scouts Pancake Breakfast. Andrew took the kids in the bike trailer. They love going for rides.
Let's go! We're ready for a ride!
When Corbin saw this picture he asked me, "Which boy is me, and which one is Carter?"
We had a small BBQ at the park with a few friends. The kids mostly just wanted to play.
CHEESE!!!
Kaydee also enjoyed the outing.
Mick had fun seeing how high he could get Corbin to go
He almost flipped over the bars
I told Corbin that memorial day is a day we remember those we love that have already died, and we can visit the cemetery and leave flowers on their graves. I also told him that my family had gone to visit Grandpa's Grave. Later in the day he asked me. "How long did it take Grandma to dig up Grandpa so they could look at his bones?" I guess I didn't make that very clear.

April Showers bring May Flowers
We went to the Splash Pad for play group this week. There were a lot of kids that came. The boys had tons of fun

It has become a tradition to play in the rain. Every time it rains Corbin strips down to his birthday suit and tries to run out in the rain which usually has stopped before he even makes it out. Today they dressed down to go splash in the puddles.

Our little garden
I am not doing a garden this year. It is too much work without much in return. Someone gave us a pumpkin plant that needed a home. He is doing very well. Corbin is excited to make fresh pumpkin pie this autumn.

Deadly Dentist Appointments
We took both boys to visit the Dentist today. I don't know why Corbin is so scared of Dentists. It was really awful. I am glad I made Andrew come with me. He had to get X-rays because he had some cavities. He did not want to cooperate. He was screaming and kicking and thrashing everyone who got near him. Andrew and I both tried to hold him to no avail. We finally had to put him on a board where they strapped him down completely. He was even less thrilled about that. He bit his lips a few times and was also bleeding.
We managed to get a few bad X-rays, but we will have to come back to try to take them again and to get his cavity filled. They said they are going to sedate him for that. Thank goodness. This was terrible. Andrew was laughing the whole time. I didn't really find any of this experience very amusing. After the X-Rays they still had to clean his teeth and put fluoride on them. He was not supposed to drink any thing for 30 minutes or eat for two hours. GREAT! Since our appointment was at 11:00AM and we didn't get called in until noon. We left at 1:00pm. Neither of the kids had eaten lunch and I had promised them we were going to get lunch and ice-cream after the dentist. Luckily they were both so worn out they fell asleep on the way home crying for ice-cream. Anyway, just had to vent that story.

A Turtle adventure
Fathers and Sons and Spiders and Snakes and Harleys at 4AM
This week end I (Andrew) took Corbin on his first Fathers and Son's stake campout. It was an interesting experience. From the drunk girls riding around in their soupped up golfcart with 4- 12' woofers on the back (who needs a golf cart like that.) to the Harley motorcycles riding through camp at all hours of the night. It culminated at about 4:00 AM. I guess that they thought the other bikes weren't loud enough and so had to get out the BIG bike. Corbin bolted up screaming along with every other little kid as they zoomed through the camp at 100 decibels.

We were staying at Lake Sommerville. I took Corbin swimming Friday afternoon and again Saturday morning. He had lots of fun with all the other kids. Someone from another ward camping near us let Corbin play in their boat.
In the morning we woke up in a tent that was covered in spiders. Probably well over a hundred. We had set up the tent under a tree and they must have all fell on us during the night. We decided to just roll the tent up spiders and all when we cleaned up. Let them all die in there. When were rolling up the tent we found this, a baby copper head snake.
Corbin always finds the dirt to play in. This was actually really good sand.

Fire Station Fun
We got to do a tour of the fire station today. We had a big group turn out. All the kids loved it. They were excited to see everything.
Waiting for the Tour to begin

Our two friendly Fireman Guides/Instuctors

There was a cute puppet show all the kids really enjoyed

Then a Fireman showed us how to put on a Fireman Uniform

He came around to all the kids so they wouldn't be scared of him

Then we got to look around the Fire Station to see where the firemen eat, sleep and work. This Fire Station is new and it was really nice.

Of course we saw the Fire Trucks

The boys in their Fire Truck shirts

The wheels were almost twice as tall as Carter

Fireman Jonny and the kids

Then they gave everyone their very own FIRE HAT!
