I've lived here for going on Five years and this is only the second time I have taken the kids to the beach. Andrew has not been with us either time. We ended up going in the evening which was wonderful. It was out of the heat of the day. (still hot-Texas never cools off-it just goes from unbearable to unpleasant) It was perfect for the beach. We ate dinner in the car and played until the sun went down. We all had a great time running in the waves, collecting shells and playing in the sand. We call Carter and Honor "the twins" since they practically have the same Birthday (missed it by a quarter of an hour) and they grew up as babies together. They really were adorable walking around holding hands. From this picture of Carter you would never know what a great time he had Corbin and Adriene making "Sea Stars" in the sand Sunset
As part of Carter's Birthday celebration we went to Pump it Up! It was really fun to have the whole family go. The dad's especially had a good time playing on all the toys. We did lots of sliding. and Bouncing Slam DUNKing! We entertained several boxing tournaments between parents and kids alike. I totally took Andrew down! I wish I had a video! By the end we were all exhausted. I highly suggest going to one of these places as a family. We had a blast!
The Sunday after Carter's birthday we had another mini Birthday party with cupcakes and ice-cream cups. The kids had a picnic on the floor to keep the mess contained. Carter thinks it is funny to pull this expression, not sure why. I can't tell if it is a kissy face, or a mad faceHe thought he was pretty neat to get to blow out candles again Super excited to open presents. He had been spying in my room and had found the tool stand we were giving him. He was really excited about that, and the new tools. We've been trying out the new Spikey Hair do. I think it looks so cute on him. This pose was so cute. He really is the sweetest boy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BOY!
We celebrated Carter's Birthday down in Houston with our good friends and Neighbors the Nicolaysens. We got to celebrate both Carter's and Honor's Birthdays. Elise came up with her kids so we were excited to have both our good friends there to celebrate with.
(It is quite the challenge to try to get that many kids to smile for a picture) Ava, Corbin and Adriene Tracy and I (mainly Tracy) made matching Caterpillar cakes for the kids. They really liked them. We used the two candles as their antennas.
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to Opening Gifts Playing with Honor's new kitchen set. He loved the grill. Typical Male Trying to blow bubbles Carter tried, but got bubbles in his mouth. YUCK!
