Treehouse Museum

The Treehouse museum in Ogden was having a free admission day so we decided to get out of the house and enjoy it.  We got there early which was good because it was packed by the time we left.

Last Day of Kindergarten

Image
Corbin is officially graduated from Kindergarten.  He says he is excited for first grade because they get three recesses and get to eat lunch at school.  Carter is going to really miss having Corbin around to play with during the day.

Coming Home

Image
We came home from the hospital on Tuesday Afternoon.  Corbin and Carter took a picture of Jacob to school to show their teachers.  They were really excited to have us home.  They both adore their new brother and have been great helpers

Carter was so excited to help change his first poopy diaper.

Jacob Andrew

Born Sunday May 29th at 3:53am
8lbs 8oz
21 1/2 inches

I started having contractions Friday Night that were not painful but were pretty regular.  They continued through the night and the next morning.  We went to a wedding Saturday Morning.  After the lunch the contractions were getting painful and much closer together, but I still didn't think it was real labor.  We went home and I started packing my bag-just in case-it is good to have that done ;)

My water broke at 5pm Saturday Evening.  We left for the hospital an hour later.  My contractions slowed down after my water broke.  I was only dilated to a 3 when we they checked me at 9pm.  It took four hours to dilate to a 4, and then two more hours to hit a 5.  I was really discouraged but doing good.  I must have hit the transition phase and the contractions got really terrible and close.  I went from a 5 to a 10 in 30 minutes.

I wasn't able to hold my baby when he was born because there was meconium (baby poop) in my water.  He had the cord wrapped around his neck and needed help to get breathing and stable.  I was able to hold him for about five minutes before they had to take him away again.  I didn't get to see him again until I was moved into postpartum an hour later.  He was fine and very healthy.  He is doing great and we all love him!

Here are some pictures from the hospital
