Liverjournal, I just got to skip=80 while backreading! I don't think that's happened since, like, 2010! You make me so happy!

Also, this thing of everybody posting once a day, or at least more often, is making ME want to post once a day or at least more often. I have been unexpectedly BUSY lately, though, so I'm not sure how likely that is to happen.

I DO want to tell you all about my lovely, relaxing, perfect (except for the minor travel snafu at that beginning) trip to New England to see misspamela and her family with linaerys last weekend, but I am still trying to get my photos from the trip off my phone. This apparently requires a device driver which my computer can't seem to find and which I don't have the wherewithal to track down on the Internet at this time of the evening.

(It might also have to do with the fact that today I have had lengua tacos, a Caesar salad involving anchovies and smoked quail eggs, and toast points with both chicken and duck liver and a fruit compote and MAYBE I should cut back on the rich food to, like, one of those at a time. Per week.)

Also, it would be GREAT if my period would get here already--see above, re: ridiculous amounts of rich fatty foods and also that I was re-reading Resonant's Transfigurations after eleanor_lavish reminded me of its existence the other day and I started getting teary over the fact that in this fic Bill Weasley (spoiler alert?) died fighting Voldemort IN THE BACKSTORY.

Okay, I am going to go chug some Pepto-Bismol and go to bed, I think.

Hello, livejournal! I've missed you!

In the last three and-a-half hours I have:

--picked up my first CSA share
--washed, packed, and otherwise put all the vegetables (kale! lettuce! radishes! zucchini! spinach! peas! onions! scapes! cilantro! oregano! mint!) and eggs (1 dozen a week, this could get...eggy) away
--made dinner consisting almost entirely of CSA veggies
--made these for dessert/snacks
--put down a new rug (pictures later)
--did (most of) the dishes
--taken out ALLLLL the trash
--washed my kitchen floor


I seem to be channeling brooklinegirl and mrsronweasley.

Aaaand now there is nothing on TV. ...I suppose I could watch X-Men: First Class for the third time this week.

How are all of YOU anyway?

I seem to be living in a mirror universe, since I am apparently the only person in fandom who like Star Trek Into Darkness a LOT and was terribly disappointed by Iron Man 3.

It's weird over here, trust me.

I think I need lots more modern-day AUs, right now.

So I was home sick today and took that as the universe's way of telling me to finish watching S2 of Teen Wolf. And like I said, I'm sick, so this is probably less filtered than it otherwise would be, so please understand, but I have to say: Derek/Stiles? Where did THAT come from? I do not see it at all, I think all you people are smoking something, seriously.

Jackson, on the other hand. Jackson clearly needs, well, a master. Why are there not a zillion fics about THAT out there? Are there? There must be some, I mean come on. Please point me to them if you know of any.

Tony/Bruce recs anyone? Anyone? I am interested. Finally.

OMG, Avengers fic writers: Steve Rogers is NOT a PACIFIST.

Even if all you know about Captain America is from movie canon, I think it's PRETTY CLEAR that he is not a conscientious objector who was drafted, conscripted, press-ganged, or otherwise forced into joining the military and then experimented on through no choice of his own.

He BROKE THE LAW in order to try and enlist in the army. He is NOT A PACIFIST.

It's still incredibly windy here in Brooklyn, and there were apparently two deaths in my neighborhood from a falling tree this morning, but we never lost power or Internet--never have I been so grateful to live in a neighborhood with buried power lines.

Okay, seriously, that was one of the stronger season premieres I have seen in a looong time. Suits, how so awesome?

I don't think it's too spoilery to say my reactions pretty much boil down to "Omg, Harvey loves Mike SO MUCH! Jessica and Donna and Rachel are AMAZING. Omg, Harvey loves Mike SO MUCH no really, and can I please have all the fic with them and their particular awesome power dynamic that is hitting my buttons so hard now now now plz?"

Universe, why am I not psychic? Why? Because if I was, I would have known that BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH WAS AT CONEY ISLAND TODAY. While I was there. While I was there ALL DAY.

Okay, the trailer for Kripke's new series Revolution looks awesome and I will be all over it like white on rice.

BUT, does anyone else think the concept seems exactly like S.M. Stirling's the Change series?

I saw it! I was not going to bother dealing with the crowds on opening weekend, but lyra_sena and her man were going so I ended up tagging along.

Non-spoilery thoughts: It was tons of fun, but my initial impressions from months ago were pretty much borne out. I think I am just not wired correctly to get all crazy excited about this movie.

Come July 20 and The Dark Knight Rises, and you will see a completely different reaction.

On the other hand, fine, everybody is right and Tom Hiddleston is a revelation. Loki was more interesting than pretty much all the Avengers combined except for the relationship/back story between Clint and Natasha. I would pay money to watch Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson beat each other up again. And fine fine fine, I will now watch Thor, fine.
