Updated electrical safety standard SFS 6002 now available in English
The updated SFS 6002:2025 Electrical Work Safety standard is now published in English. The new edition clarifies the content and updates several requirements, including provisions related to the organization of personnel and electrical work safety.
Sami Kangasharju appointed as new Managing Director of SFS Finnish Standards
Sami Kangasharju, M. Sc. (Industrial Management), MBA, has been appointed as Managing Director starting from 1 March 2026. The current Acting Managing Director Antti Karppinen will retire concurrently.
Association founded by SMEs to sharpen Finnish data centres’ competitive edge
Finnish Data Center Association (FDCA) is a great example of how SMEs and micro companies can actively participate in standardization. Among others, the association has influenced standards on general energy efficiency and the recovery and reuse of waste heat generated by data centres.
