Stat!

There are a ton of changes to the way stats are affecting combat in this game. They won’t be going live with 1.2.1, but the intent is to implement them sometime in the near future. It’s good stuff, will lead to more defensive options and diversity in playstyle. BW/Sorceresses will no longer be “ZOMG 1200 int, wtfpwnbbqsausrofl!”. If they want to live and still those crits going off, sacrafices will be made. Makes me happy at least, and think it may allow me some options so that my underpowerdness won’t be so completely obvious.

1.2.1

So, it’s here. The patch notes for 1.2.1.

Yay, keep upgrades. Aren’t we all bursting with excitement? Aren’t we all jumping up and down in glee, unable to contain our overwhelming joy and optimism that this will bring to us all? I know I am! *dripping sarcasm finished*

Honestly though, it is a good system, and I am happy about the variety it will bring to the game. But, you know, I still can’t help but notice that in the careers portion, Shadow Warriors got one line of notice. I know, this wasn’t a C&C patch, but still…one? Only one? I guess I shouldn’t feel so bad, the Black Guard, Black Orc, Engineer, Ironbreaker, and Sorceress only got one line of lovin’ a piece as well.

Still waiting to be hopeful.

1.2.1

121-ae-diagramWell, a preview of the patch notes were put up, and discussed in two seperate places. The one from MbJ can be found here, and it is just a general preview of what will be coming out with this update. For a subsidary patch, it sounds like it is pretty hefty, which usually means good things. There was no explicit mention of Shadow Warriors anywhere in the mix here, so my hopes and dreams aren’t soaring at any moment. Conversely, there was no mention of any class, so I’m not really hurt about it either. It just is what it is.
