About

I’m a hands-on Software Architect and founding engineer with nearly 15 years of experience designing and scaling cloud-native platforms. I’ve architected high-throughput, low-latency systems supporting 100K+ connected devices and vehicles using protocols like OCPP, OCPI, and ISO 15118.

My work spans microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and event-driven systems, with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS. I care about performance engineering, system resilience, and DevSecOps—embedding quality gates, security scanning, and observability into the delivery pipeline.

I enjoy leading modernization initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving technical strategy while staying close to the code: debugging complex production issues, refactoring critical paths, and continuously optimizing large-scale systems.

Platform Architect

Shell Recharge Solutions

~9 years Los Angeles, California

Hands-on software architect and founding engineer leading the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems, EV charging protocols, platform modernization, and operational excellence in a high-growth environment.

  • Architected and led development of a horizontally scalable core platform supporting 100K+ concurrent charging stations over persistent WebSocket connections using OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1.
  • Designed and delivered ISO 15118 (Plug & Charge) capabilities enabling secure, certificate-based vehicle authentication.
  • Led domain-driven decomposition of a monolith into microservices across Pricing, Payments, Charging, Security, OCPI, Analytics, and more.
  • Optimized database and API performance to maintain < 500 ms latency while reducing cloud infrastructure costs.
  • Modernized deployments by migrating to Kubernetes with reusable Helm charts adopted organization-wide.
  • Led production incident response and root cause analysis with SRE teams.
  • Embedded automated quality and security governance using SonarQube and Apiiro.
  • Remained deeply hands-on with production code, debugging, refactoring, and performance tuning.

Software Engineer → Technical Lead

Samin Tekmindz

~6 years Noida, India

Progressed from Intern to Technical Lead, managing end-to-end delivery of features for high-traffic POS and early-stage EV charging platforms.

  • Led cross-functional teams delivering full-stack features across backend and user-facing applications.
  • Designed secure RESTful APIs using OAuth and encryption for mobile integrations.
  • Improved engineering efficiency through standardized code reviews and mentoring.
  • Built early EV systems that formed the foundation for later large-scale charging architecture work.
