I know it's been a while, but "we" retired people are SUPER busy, you know...I'm indulging in some of my free time to share the excitement of my easy life with each of you. I just finished reading the book "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch, in which I was impressively engaged. (I have a little help from Shauna today as she is my scribe at the computer and she is ad libbing a bit on my blogsite.) Sudoku occasionally occupies my interest (thanks Sherri for getting me started) but Sid is really the one who captures my interest around the clock. I wanted to practice putting images on my blog and Shauna showed me how to do it...see below. Strange that the picture should include one of her???

Shauna and Troy are visiting today and Shauna wants to make the following statement about the above picture: "Not to say that any one of my children is my favorite, but the middle one is super close." I will enlarge upon the statement by saying that ALL of my children are my favorites, but some live 'super closer' to me than others. (Did I say that correctly?)

Hope you are enjoying life as much as I am. Know that I count my blessings that you even bother to check my blog site. Better luck next time. Love you all....

September Happenings

Seems like I am waiting for something outstanding to happen before writing on my blog. I guess you'll all have to realize just waking up each morning and being able to walk without assistance is a miracle in itself. So be patient and allow this senior citizen to creep at my own pace while blogging.
Our biggest accomplishment this past month was cleaning out our 3 car garage...which will literally house 3 cars now. I would post a picture of our luxurious garage with it's wall to wall (used) carpeting, but I don't have one currently at hand. A bit trite, I know.
Next, we have to mention some of the famous people who have visited our home recently....We have had my mother and Warner R... both for lunch one day, Sandie and Neil as Sandie was leaving to go to the airport to help Kari with her new baby, Ron and Dawn... who visited with us last night, Shelly who spent 4 days with us...focusing on fun, family history, and future adventures, Shauna, Troy, Kensley and Ryker...whose picture I will include if I can figure out how to do it, and several visits from Stephanie, Dave and their beautiful family. Just can't tell you how important my family is in my life. Thank you for your visits and phone calls as they are what helps me wake up each morning with a bounce and a smile on my face. Life is beautiful and it is because of wonderful people like you.

Sunday best

Ever wonder what we do on Sundays? Just sit around in our Sunday clothes waiting to hear from each of our children by phone. Are you listening?

This is a little old, but probably the most recent picture of me and my best friend. What a great trip, thank you Shelly and Dave for the memories.

In The Beginning

Here is the first post for Sid and me. We are anxious to keep you updated on our exciting life!
