An interesting question right? This is just a snapshot into a conversation I had with one of my friends and when he asked me this it really got me thinking.

It’s finally summer and with July the 19th round the corner we’re finally being released from the shackles of COVID restrictions (well most of them anyways). Over the last few weeks, like many of you, I’ve been making the best of my summer and my days have been filled with enjoyment. However, as much as I enjoy a nice restaurant and a cheeky clink clink, sometimes its nice to do something different. So being the enjoyment ambassador I am, I’ve put together a quick guide showing you guys some fun things to do and places to go that differ from the usual.
The Crystal Maze Experience
This experience provides the ultimate team challenge as you and your friends are tasked with trying to gain as much time in the crystal dome as possible. In order to do this, your team must go through a variety of zones, completing a number of challenges along the way – the more challenges you complete successfully, the more time you win. for yourselves in the crystal dome. These tasks will test your problem solving skills, mental ability and physicality, so be prepared for a real challenge. Once you’ve made it through the zones you’ll face the final test in the dome to decide if you’ll be crowned the ultimate winners. So if you’re looking for a fun team challenge, this experience is definitely for you!
HIJINGO
Say hello to a bingo experience like no other. With flashing lights, music and dancing robots you’re bound to have a good time as enjoy a pre-game show before beginning your bingo session in the electrifying Hijingo room. The 90 minute show gives you the chance to win six times whilst enjoying street-food inspired menu and drinks. This activity is definitely affordable with exclusive offers during the month of July to celebrate its opening. So if you’re looking for a fun experience with an edgy twist, I’d honestly encourage you to check this out!
DNA VR
Think virtual reality meets escape room – this experience combines two great activities, creating a sensational immersive experience. DNA VR takes your usual escape room experience to a whole new level as you enter a whole new virtual world with endless possibilities. If you’re not keen on the sound of this or just want a strict virtual reality experience , DNA VR have a range of standard VR rooms for you to choose from. Whether its just a couple of you or a whole group, there’s enough here to keep you entertained throughout your experience.
Well we’ve come to the end of this quick guide and I hope you guys have found it useful! If you end up visiting any of these places let me know how it goes in the comments below.

The Middle
Over the last couple of months I’ve just felt like there’s been a lot going on and I’ve often found myself in the middle.
In the middle of a pandemic, in the middle of my final year of uni, in the middle of life, and trying to navigate everything that comes along with it.

As a self proclaimed productivity princess, my calendar and to-do list are my best friends; ensuring that I’m always on top of everything. I’m also a firm believer in working smart over working hard any day, so I’m always looking for ways to make my life easier and maximising my productivity levels in a way that doesn’t feel too stressful. Despite all of this, sometimes it can be hard to find motivation, but using these apps help me to feel a little bit better about the tasks I have ahead, so hopefully they can help you too. Let’s get into it!

“How to make this your best year yet!”
“How to set the most effective goals”
Just some of the phrases that you see on social media around the start of a new year. I know that these posts are often made with the best of intentions but I often scroll past them rolling my eyes. This isn’t to knock anyone’s statements about what they feel the news year will bring, but you’d think after the year we’ve had, it would be easier to see something more real. In all honesty I feel like there’s a real lack of transparency and here at Simply E.D.O I like to keep it simply honest and simply me. So instead of regurgitating a bunch of clichés and doing a nice generic New Years post, I thought it would be best to just pause, take a moment and evaluate.
No motivation, just vibes.

Summer: A Guide To All Things Enjoyment
Summer – a time of year we usually look forward to with so many plans in mind. But this year things are a little different. Despite all the madness and uncertainty, summer is most definitely not cancelled and with places slowly opening up again I though it would be good to put together a list of things to do and places to go. This isn’t your typical list of activities, but since we’re coming out of lockdown, it’s time to level up and try something new!
Definite Downloads
“I’m so bored!” – a common phrase I’d find myself saying over and over again during the first few weeks of lockdown. Netflix can only entertain me so much and scrolling aimlessly through social media can be a bore, but instead of continuously complaining, I decided to find ways to engage myself through my phone. So I’ve put together a list of a few of my new favourite apps, which I’d definitely recommend to download!
