Hello Slavers, sorry I went radio silent this week when we were due to have checkins and such. It's been a crazy in my corner of the word...but that gave you an extra week to work.
So this is our check in post. If you are an author, please comment on how it's coming along, and whether or not you and your artist (if your prompt has been claimed) have communicated. Artists, please comment on your author's comment with your status.
Remember, you still have a few weeks to work. I will set up a posting schedule based on the responses to this post. We will start no earlier than the 19th of December. I'd like to see us post a story a day until Christmas.
I'm going to go ahead and open the art up to second claims from artists who have already claimed a prompt.
I have emailed everyone who claimed a prompt with your author's contact information. Please make sure you have contacted them. I've heard from a few authors who have said they haven't heard from their artists.

Okay everybody, here it is. What will follow under the cut are all of the claimed prompts including the author's summary if I have received it. I will update with the summaries when they come in.
ARTISTS!
By claiming one of these prompts you are agreeing to make "art" to accompany a story. Around here we use the word "art" pretty loosely. You can make manips, you can paint, draw, sculpt, sing us a song, play trombone, dance a jig or a mambo, etc...as long as it is something you can post to DW/LJ.
Your "art" should fit the overall story and yes, I'll be hooking you up with the author so you can talk/hang out/pick each other's brains/meet for coffee/stalk/otherwise collaborate on the work. Remember that this is adult material. We are talking about slavery and in general the stories are looking to be good, adult stories to do with...well, slaves, and all that entails.
Some are consensual. Some are less so. Please choose wisely.
Prompts are assigned on a first come, first served basis. If we fill all the prompts with artists and we still have artists who want to art, we may open up for a reverse exchange and let artists pick from the unchosen prompts and have authors come along and write stories to go with that art after this exchange is done.

Greetings Slavers! Welcome to your Christmas Slave Exchange!
For you new folks, this is how this works. We begin with a prompting round where anyone and everyone are encouraged to leave prompts. We are open to all fandoms so make sure to spread the word in your fandoms so that we get prompts, writers and artists. Then we have an author's round where the prompts are revealed and authors claim one. We will then have an artists round where artists will get to claim a prompt as well. With any luck, that leads us to a bunch of stories and art come late November/December.
Some dates to remember:
8/22/15 through 9/12/15: Prompting 10/3/15: Master list of all prompts posted for author claiming. 10/31/15: Master list of all prompts claimed by authors posted for artists claiminb 11/25/15 check in date 12/19 Posting begins
All prompts are screened so that the master list is a surprise! Don't let that stop you from leaving prompts!
In the meantime consider the following rules for posting your prompts:
1) Anyone can leave up to five prompts. 2) Each prompt must follow the convention given below or it will not be included in the master post. 3) Each prompt must be usable in a specific fandom setting or made open to fit any fandom. 4) Each prompt will be listed in the Master post from which all Authors and Artists will make their claims. 5) This prompt post will open for comments on August 22nd close September 12th. 6) The only fields absolutely required for the prompt are your username and the Primary Prompt Phrase 7) Please keep your prompt simple, three to five words to give the author and artist a direction.

So I was thinking it might be fun to do a Christmas exchange here in the Slave Exchange.
I'm still working out what that would look like, but it would be similar to past rounds with a prompting period, a claiming period and a writing period.
If I get enough interest, I will make a sister community on Dreamwidth and get us started.
