What is SLCTLS?

The Shared LCTL Symposium (SLCTLS) focuses on issues pertaining to how Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTLs) are/can be shared across institutional boundaries. SLCTLS was founded and is co-organized by representatives from Michigan State University and the University of Chicago. It grew out of two Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded projects focused on LCTLs. The first SLCTLS was held in 2016 and served as a kick-off meeting for both of the grant projects.
