Updates

It's been months since I last updated this blog. I actually forgot my password!

A lot of things happened since my birthday (my last post was about my birthday dinner).   I already updated my name in SSS and Philheath.   Yey for that!   I also learned to drive, I have my license already.   The best thing that happened is I'm now pregnant.   Big Yey!   I'm now on my 17th week.

I came upon a client in one of our cocktail events who told me that pregnancy will change my life. I thought he was referring to having kids. We'll he was right.    I'm having a delicate pregnancy, I've been in and out of bedrests.   In fact I'm on a 1 month bedrest now.   I'll blog about my bedrest soon.   I've joined a forum for expectant moms, it helps really to read about what others are going through.   I've downloaded several applications in my Ipod Touch too about pregnancy.   My four favorites are: Baby Center's Pregnancy. What to Expect When Expecting, Baby Bump and I'm Expecting.

At Chef's Quarter

I celebrated my 1st birthday as Mrs. V last Thursday. The husband also took a leave =)

We had dinner at Chef's Quarter at the Atrium, Megamall. The food is great. We had Tessie Tomas Salad, Tiger Prawns and Fillet Minion. Yummy!

I was so excited to eat I forgot to take a picture of the salad. Here's the salad on my plate.

Janet Castro

Janet Castro is the first couturier I inquired with regarding my bridal gown. I made the rounds with other wedding gown suppliers and I decided to get her. Janet is a breath of fresh air, she's so cheerful that she kinda give me this calmness everytime I visit her. I also appreciate her inputs regarding the gown of my choice. A lot of my friends liked my gown too.

Janet actually made me a gown with "two looks", unfortunately I left the belt at the Hotel.

Just a reminder, fit your gown at least a week before the big day. I think I had my last fitting two weeks before our wedding and I lost a bit of weight. The tube gown was kinda loose, had to pull it up several times.

Vienna Cakes

Jose and I decided to have mini fondant cakes instead of the traditional cake for our wedding. We wanted a cake that could also serve as a souvenir for the guests.

We booked Vienna cakes at the SMX Bridal Fair last March 2009. The sample cakes tasted good. We also got 10 free mini fondant cakes for booking on the spot in that bridal fair =)

We had 5 designs and 3 flavors for the fondant cakes. If my memory serves me right, we had carrot, banana and mocha flavor. These cute cakes also came with a free box =)
