So it's been a while since I published anything. I've been quite uninspired but did get to make some tracks, though I was not quite convinced by them so I kept working on those. Still, I had one I was going to publish and even another just about to finish up, but recent events have me in a not so musical state of mind.

My country, Venezuela, was attacked on January 3rd very early, an hour or so past midnight, something I never expected to actually happen, attacked by the USA claiming terrorism and whatever, even kidnapping the president. Now... I don't care what people may or may not think about my country and the people, but this is serious, and after the bombing we were left without electricity and lots of damage. People is gone, food went bad. None of us here feel precisely good about what may come next. Whatever your point of view, this is not the way to go about anything. An entire country, tense, because an outsider decided to throw a tantrum.

I'm definitely not in a good place and I don't have any desire to compose anything right now as we are still -- just hours after getting electricity back -- being threatened about more "measures" taken against us if the acting president doesn't make the "right choices".

I will surely try to get back to this, and hopefully it will be okay, but right now I'm just not feeling it, and if I ever stop altogether then looking at the news on my country may shed light on the why.

I hope this is a one time occurrence and things don't escalate, but I don't know. This is the one place in which I've found people actually listened and liked my music, so I just wanted to leave this here in case things are not so good later on.

This is not some cry for attention, nor is it some political statement, this is serious and I just feel like I owe an explanation just in case I cannot go on for whatever reason. I'm just a musician, I don't care about politics, I don't want a war, I don't care about beliefs, colors, genders, nationality, etc... I just make music, and if you are not a complete jerk, then surely you will be fine in my book because that's about all I need in a person, for them to not be jerks.

Again, I will definitely try to get to composing, but surely you can all understand why time with family is important in such uncertain moments and how focusing might not be as easy.

Thank you for reading that wall of text and for making me feel hopeful about my music. I swear I do still rate stuff, I just don't want to make the generic comment "This sounds good!" or something along those lines, but I still listen and look at the art on this site.
