Giddy Up!

Oh, what a blast!!  I used to ride when I was younger. Much younger!  But, getting back on horses was like coming home.  I felt so at peace. It was so fun to see my kids take to them as well.  Julianna was in Hog Heaven being on her horse, Black.  She had a grin from ear to ear.  It made me determined to get her married to a rancher or farmer.  I gave her a nice little pep talk encouraging her to do just that.  Let's see if she listens. 

The Great Utah Outdoors

I decided a month ago that I wanted to have one last hurrah before school started.  We went to Utah to see my sisters.  Lindsay came from NY and since she wanted a fun packed vacay with no traces of NY, we went camping.  Now, I have NEVER camped with my own family.  This was surreal!  We had such a great time! Jodi had friends who had a boat and raft.  We spent the whole day on the water which was so fun!  I have rarely been on a raft.  It was terrifying but exhilarating.  We had so much fun.  I am grateful we have a photographer in our family so we can document all these moments.  Thanks Lindsay!!

This last month, Sean and I were able to get away to Mt. Shasta.  We had a awesome time just being free of responsibility.  We hiked around the beautiful area, ate out at cute little resturants, and hung out in our adorable little room at the Strawberry Village Inn.  It made me realize how much I really like my husband when the stresses of life are not with us.  That gave me great comfort and I am excited that we had that time to get reconnected.
