So I bought a whole bunch of new patterns and fabrics and am trying to decide which fabric to use with which pattern. SO I thought since a lot of you are talented seamstresses or just very good looking in general, I'd ask you all for advice! Below belong a cut tag you can cast your votes. And for the rest of you I'll just share my favorite pattern, which is a cute lil dressy number: ( Click Here for pretty things!Collapse )

So for the past three months I've been receiving notices from random LJ people that others have been creating profiles copying my own in some strange attempt to impersonate me for what I can only assume is some truly sinister e-motives. That or people just have a lot of time on their hands. It's happened 3 times so far. Anyways, I just wanted to let everyone know about this so that you know NOT to friend anyone who has my profile or exchange any personal information with any of these foos.
Working my way back to you, babe With a burnin' love inside Yeah, I'm workin' my way back to you, babe And the happiness that died I let it get away Been payin' every day
When you were so in love with me I played around like I was free Thought I could have my cake and eat it too But how I cried over losin' you See me cryin' now, but I ain't about to go Livin' my life without you For every day I made you cry I'm payin', girl, 'til the day that I die
I used to love to make you cry It made me feel like a man inside But if I'd been a man in reality You'd still be here, babe, lovin' me Now the nights are long and lonely And I ain't through strugglin', I just miss you so And you're too proud you won't give in But when I think about all I can win
Working my way back to you, babe With a burnin' love inside Yeah, I'm workin' my way back to you, babe And the happiness that died, oh how I cried

1. Canterbury Tales by Chaucer (I've bought like 8 copies of this and never actually finished the unabridged version) 2. Four Plays by George Bernard Shaw 3. Dover Beach and Other Poems by Matthew Arnold (Read this one actually but would like to re-read it as Arnold is a great influence) 4. Miss Wyoming by Douglas Coupland (Need to read it so I can fairly assess Coupland instead of just disliking him without having actually read anything by him.) 5. The Gathering by Anne Enright (Started on this today actually. Pretty good, cynical, morbid stuff) 6. Selected Poems by Robert Browning (In a lovely, beaten up old hardcover edition) 7. Soul Mountain by Gao Xingjian (You know, to offset the Coupland)
When I get home I'm planning on stocking up on books in English. Any recommendations? (Note: am not interested in reading anything that involves vampires, could be classified as "cyber punk" or which critics have described as "heart-wrenching").
