Some help
A client's computer was hosed recently with the installation of QuickBooks 2002 Pro and IE 5.5. This computer has no access to the internet, dialup networking is trashed. It is on 98 First Edition, and must have IE on it, and the version of 5.5 that came with quickbooks is a bad copy. I have tried dropping down to the previous version of IE on the computer (which was 4.0) and that did not help. QuickBooks tech support suggested getting IE 6. The way Microsoft does their updates will not work, since you have to have the internet to update. Does anyone know of a site that has the complete IE 6 SP 1 installation? I'd like to get it on my computer here and burn it to a CD and then try to install it on the trashed machine. I'd appreciate any help.
