Anyone have any experience of using WhatsUp Professional?

I'm monitoring the performance of an Internet based site in terms of HTTP and ping response, and although WhatsUp is giving a relatively high availability (around 99% over 24 hours) the reality is that I can't open the site at times it shows everything is OK.

Has anyone else found this problem with WhatsUp, or know of some better software for this type of monitoring exercise?
