So I noticed that you can customize the links for when people comment on journal entries and I wanted to know how to do it as well. Like instead of the text saying 'Post Comment' you can change the text to say something else. Do you change it in the stylesheet if you're using CSS? Help please.
You know that little toolbar on individual entries that lets you go to the previous or next entry, add the current entry to your memories, track it, etc?
Hi! My friend boombangbing has something only on her comment pages that adds "keyword" as a metadata, and it prints the keyword a friend uses to select the icon to go with that comment. I am super envious of this, because I don't get the comment alt-text when I hover over icons on my friends page.
Is there some easy CSS to do this on my friends view, or is it specific to Refried Paper comment pages? I'm using Bookworm drastically changed by a layout from thefulcrum. I've looked everywhere I can think of with no luck at all... can anyone help please?
I'm not 100% sure on how to justify my entries, so it's even harder for me to make them look like they do in this persons journal entry = http://latex-core.livejournal.com/27801.html. If anyone can give me a code to help me centre the entry & justify it at the same time so it looks like that, I'd be so greatful.
1) how do you put the link to a community? I completely forgot...is it the same as for a lj user except with community instead of user? ex. <lj user="firstlovestory"> / <lj community="example"> or is it something else? Ugh please help I am having trouble with this...
2) I've noticed some people can upload pictures onto lj without having to upload it onto another server (photoucket, tinypic) first. How do you do that? Do you have to have a paid account?
So how do I get my log-in sessions to various website to remain after I close Firefox (3.1+) so that I don't have to log in to sites all whenever I visit them again? This was a natural setting of my previous version of Firefox...
But I guess the problem is the image doesn't show up large enough and the userpic is distracting. Are there any other ways to display a "friends-only" banner?
I was wondering if anyone can help me with a strange problem. The links under the posts on my page are not properly aligned some how. If I click on 'Edit Entry' I get sent to 'Edit Tags', when I click 'Edit Tags' I get sent to 'Add to memories'. I'm using Tranquility II as my theme but I'm also using a custom CSS. Any help in correcting this would be appreciated. Let me know if you want me to post the CSS

How do I move my journal contents down? The image I want to put at the top is 561px tall. I've tried everything, I even went to howto. Nothing's working. Help?
In the viewing options area, I try to change my scheme from Lynx. I've tried both other options (both Horizon and Vertigo) and hit "save changes" but still &usescheme=lynx

?usescheme=lynx
shows up on the "main LJ pages". I don't know why? I used to have Horizon as a default, but a few months ago it myseteriously changed into Lynx (I'm technically challenged when it comes to LJ) Lynx "on its own" - not by any changes I made. Why? And how can I change it back?
I am a permanent user. I use one of the pre-made layouts for LJ, since I can't make my own.
Suggestions, please, since I hate the way Lynx looks and I want to have access to all the easy ways of navigation with the other two schemes. I hate having to manually delete the lynx-part-endings mentioned above whenever I visit my own profile for example.
So, I'm working on an informational website. And I hand-code. I started using the < pre> tag so that I wouldn't have to type < br> or < p> after every bullet point. Only problem is, I love tables and I want to put my information inside a table. And I can't figure out how to make the text wrap. Because of the pre tag, no matter what pixel width I set the table to, it goes to the length of the longest line of text, and this is bothersome.
So. Any idea how to make text wrap within a set of pre tags?
Okay, this comm looks to be pretty dead but I am hoping that there is someone who can help me because I am at my wits' end.
I cannot seem to get the page transition affect to work for me. Is it because I have an S2 style and I have no clue how to go about using the overrides? Possibly. So if someone could explain how to use said transition affect in an S2 style, that would be great.
Also, is there a way for me to have my links/tag list displayed in scrollbar style? I can't figure that out, either.
Okay, could someone help me out here? I have CS2 Version 9.0 and for the life of me, I can not figure out how to batch convert my PSD files to PNG or JPG files. I know how to do it in PSP, but of course when I have files with Selective Colour, I can not use them because PSP does not have Selective Colour. Anyone?
