What happened to The Tempest?

Solano College has a long, storied history of print news production, beginning with the Vallejo Vista in 1956. Over the years, it has been renewed and rebranded, first as The Viva, then as The Tempest. The last issue of the tempest was published in 2015 and, without a full-time Journalism Professor, the program struggled to remain viable. In 2024, a new Advisor was hired, two new certificates (Journalism and Multimedia Journalism) and an Associate of Arts Degree for Transfer were created, and students voted for a new name and logo for a new, digital publication: The Solano Pulse.

Where is The Pulse office located?

Our current office is on the Fairfield Campus in Room 753.
