Specialty Batch Coffee is a homegrown Dubai roastery with Melbourne roots and a very simple promise: do the work, earn the flavour. We’ve got 40+ years of combined specialty coffee experience behind us, and it shows ..in the way we source, the way we roast, and the way we teach the craft to anyone who cares enough to learn it. We’ve been part of the UAE’s coffee story from the early days, helping set the standards we still hold ourselves to.
What sets us apart? Start with our founder, Ryan Godinho. Back in 2009, he became the UAE’s first SCAA/SCA Lead Instructor & Authorized Trainer, and the first WCE National Barista Championship Coordinator and education partner in the country. Titles aside, Ryan is hands-on, every day, as head roaster, green buyer, barista trainer, and quality controller. This isn’t a brand built on buzzwords; it’s a mission built on consistency, long-term relationships, and results you can taste. When your name is on the bag, you don’t cut corners. Founded in 2013, Specialty Batch set out to raise café standards in the UAE; not with slogans, but with better coffee, better gear, better education and better follow-through. Our job is simple: make specialty coffee easier to do well, every day, at scale. That means roasting to recipe, supplying equipment we actually stand behind, and backing it all with training and service that fix problems before they become habits.
We’re here for people who care about what’s in the cup and how it got there. The work only clicks when there’s trust, so we build long-term partnerships - roaster to café, trainer to barista, tech to team, so the experience stays consistently excellent, not occasionally lucky.
We’ve grown by keeping our ethics and quality bar where they’ve always been: high. Quality over quantity isn’t a just a tagline ..it’s our filter.
