Jan. 10th, 2023 05:46 amDay Five: In your own space, tell us about 3 creative/fannish resources, spaces, or communities you use or enjoy. (One or two is fine, especially if you're in a smaller fandom or like many people at the moment, fannishly adrift right now) Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
This is hard one because I don't super involve myself in communities, BUT I am posting in the spirit of trying. :D Two are for Final Fantasy XIV, while the last two are not!
Autumnlance's lore tag - They've either put together and reblogged lore refs for pretty much every little bit of FFXIV that I've ever wondered about. There are A LOT of details just scattered around in sidequests, npc dialogue and item descriptions that tend to be put in a handy post here. Thanks Autumnlance!
Concept Library - More visual references for villainous magical noodle wizards that I'll ever need. Pulls from datamined models and such, but is also a handy visual reference for both drawing and writing. I forget the specifics of the masks quite a lot.
Hyouta Vesperia - I am no longer active in Tales fandom, but this is the go for all things in-game in Tales of Vesperia and came to mind immediately as a resource. It's the fan localised PS3 script so there's some differences from the official Definitive Edition, but it's got the main quest dialogue as well as side quests, skits and other little bits of info that's been really helpful over the years (artes, recipes etc). It even has the original Japanese dialogue to compare for those who are fluent enough to read, which is nice!
PixelBush - Stealthily editting is for four entries, Pixel Bush is a fantastic Dead By Daylight youtuber who covers the game's lore in pretty solid detail. Looking for a character refresher? Pixel probably did one! This is less of a resource in some way and more a sneaky channel rec, but Pixel gives good overviews and has interesting discussion points. Failing that, the DBD wiki is actually a much easier lore reference than the bloody game is because accessing the lore from the tomes is a pain.
The last one is pretty niche - sorry!
