NEC’s role in SpecX

NEC is an associated partner and will participate in SpecX by hosting 3 secondments

  • NEC is an Associated Partner in the SpecX Doctoral Network. Our primary role, as an associated partner, is to provide specialised training & hosting secondments. Specifically, NEC Laboratories Europe will host a secondment for:
    • DC1, whose project is “mm-wave IoT data collection with mobile edge computing”.
    • DC4, whose project is “Drone-hosted mobile spectrum sensing and cells for 6G”
    • DC5, whose project is “Anomaly analytics in geospatial spectrum data”

With the focus on R&D for the next generation mobile and fixed networks, and the Future Internet, a special emphasis lies on

developing and proposing solutions that meet the market needs of NEC’s European customers.
