Ok - so off topic from this community but know there are some good minds in it.

So I have this system I built and the warehouse/picking side needs help. Lots of items per order (~15-50) and we need to improve accuracy. We currently use a paper picking system, then come back to workstations and update invoices. I think we use use pocketPC type paperless thingies with barcode capability. The warehouse guy says this would never work and increase labor times 4 for a light increase in accuracy.

He says the only way to do it is with a pick/put to light system (which means huge dollars as far as to purchase and integrate).

Does this make sense to everyone else? Anyone deal with picking systems and moving to a paperless system?

Backround this is a homegrown custom asp.net/C# web application with SQL Server 2K backend. Yep.
