[sticky entry] Sticky: Master List

Apr. 17th, 2017 18:17
stefanyeah: (Matt_Dom)

It's a new list…

I've decided to give DW another go for fics and as such have added new communities for two planned long fics and one for ALL THE OTHER FICS! Everything that's been on this journal is still here, but also in the Stef Writes community, so this post will mirror that. It'll be shorter! WHOOOOOO!

The new comms will be mostly members-only because I'm paranoid about bloody AI scraping. Join and de-join however you see fit.

Muse Stories with their own Communities.
(Kinda) Finished Stories
(because sometimes, just sometimes, they come back in one form or the other)

Celestial Charts
A story about angels, demons and Vikings. You absolutely should check it out.

Like Foam on the Ocean
The tale of a merman and his prince. You should check it out. This might be my favourite staff of any series.

Raiders of the Lost Temple
A Journey North in which a Thief, a Royal Guard and a Sorcerer set out to save the Four Lands. Features A/B/o dynamics.

Children of Loki
A tale of an evil lord and a shining knight set out to bring him down. It has been great fun to write.

Super Black
A story about a hunter, his partner and their victim; a death and a dream.

Kindling the Fire/ Waking the Fire/ Riding the Fire
A story about dragons, their Riders, friendship, families and enemies.

A little weird adventure thing about a bunch of women busy rescuing the boys of Muse from various tricky situations. It was a joint effort and is officially finished.

Unfinished/Ongoing series
Captus est
My first long story about a vampire and his master. I still hope to finish it some day. It also should be completely re-written.

Was uns beiden gehört
A story about a young incubus and his favourite. It's unfinished until I figure out an alternate ending. I'm not quite comfortable with with what I've got planned and there's a few things in this story I don't quite like either. (Still, lots of porn. You can look at the story for a good time of sexings.)

Tooth and Claw
Trope Bingo Card fills within the same universe of werewolves, hunters and weird artefacts.

Ninja Tales
This might receive random updates and glimpses into the world of a blue ninja who fell prey to his obsession.

Noir Blanc
Matt Bellamy + Benedict Cumberbatch and some Noir Fantasy with porn.

Corridors of Time
Steampunky Time Travel BellDom. I still hope to finish it one day. Sadly I noticed that I was about to have logical flaws in it and haven't yet found a way to resolve those.

Stray Dogs
A sci-fi piece that's in dire need of re-writing and finishing. The 'real' story and genre hasn't even been revealed yet.

Space Odyssey: Muse
A silly little sci-fi story with our favourite boys and lovely aliens.

Bounty Tales
Maybe one or two chapters about two bounty hunters I did with Xanium many years ago. Absolutely unfinished without any chance of finishing, sadly.

HADES Fanfic

Fates Conspiring

For the most part Asterius/Zagreus centric. I hope that in a few months, I can start posting and turn this into a little epic. :D

Little Monsters
Even in the Land of the Dead, Life will find a way
Pairing: Zag/Typhon
Features: Monsterfucking and mpreg, will dive even deeper into the monsterfuckery as soon as I can get back to it.

Ghost Stories
Under Ostentiferious Stars
Pairings: Papa V Perpetua/Ghouls, Frater Imperator/Ghouls, Squint and you miss it Jonny d'Ville/Papa V
Crossover with The Mechanisms
As Perpetua tries to connect with his grudge-holding twin, a gang of immortal space pirates arrives on Earth. Events are set in motion that might just destroy famous landmarks as we discover the secret behind the Emeritus bloodline that goes far beyond Earth’s scope.

Non-Fandomy
Wachträumer
Where I planned to put some of my original stuff. Not sure how much is in there. We'll see once it's imported, aye?

Monroe’s Paramour
Once upon a time in the West a U.S. Marshal hunts an outlaw

Rain Drops
A detective kinda story done for university many years ago.

Samskeyti
Little drabble inspired by a Sigur Rós track

Summer Rain
Old NC-17 stuff by me. I don't even dare looking at it anymore.

Transformative Works Policy

Yes, please, feed my hungry ego. ;)

Joking aside, non-commercial transformative or recursive works of my non-exchange fics are a-okay. Exchange fics that aren't gifted to someone are up for recursive grabs, too. (My exchange gifts on Ao3 are under the Kelaino pseud, so the Stefanyeah pseud should be fair game.)

I only ask you to tell me so I can marvel at your work, and to credit and link back. If posting on Ao3, ticking the This work is a remix, a translation, a podfic, or was inspired by another work will do the trick. ;)

DO NOT repost, reupload or monetise my work anywhere. If there's a platform you think could profit from my presence, tell me and I'll happily have a look at it.

DO NOT upload any of my works to whatever current AI programs are scraping the web.

I might also finally have found a place to store my exchange letters and like how the work and look. It's Neocities. After a few weeks of tweaking and CSSing, I think I like what I've got going now. (I've made templates, too. Whoooo.) There's also a few of my fics on there. (I'm still undecided which ones to put on there, thanks to AI scraping…)

And if you feel generous, this is my ko-fi tip jar with a teensy tiny digital shop and here is Buy Me A Coffee if you'd prefer that.

Time to attempt another dusting off this account. :D

I'll be attempting the Fannish 50 throughout 2025. Wish me luck. :D

I'm also repurposing my tag-creation post here to be an overview of my entries.

Hey hello!

I finally sent off my FTH book. Gut Ding will Weile haben and Was lange währt…and all that cal. (Life just threw quite a few curveballs at me mid to end year, including moving houses, so I didn't even print for a few months because I didn't want to move with loose papers and even more random materials.)
Do I have to sent a message to the FTH guys? It's been so long that I've looked at the Bazaar rules.

I also sent off three books for a friend and now I'm free! Freeeeeee! *throws-bra-away*

And with this whole Discord age verification, I've been looking more into the fediverse once again and discovered Hubzilla. Which is… interesting. And I might be moving a lot of things on there. You can have your oldschool Facebook-like social media wall, you can build a website, have some kind of forum, build and maintain wikis alone or with others. Rightswise you can get granular with custom roles. And your account can have various channels/profiles. You can follow and be followed by other fediverse places like Mastodon. Onboarding and getting a hang of things is not very intuitive and lotsa work, though.

But I'll me giving it a try for my bookbinding posts. And eventually, once I've bought a guillotine/bulk cutter (Seriously, these books I've sent on their way today taught me that should be my next big investment…), a new phone (still on iPhone 11 pro max and it's scratched and cracked and since the last update laggy AF…), I might buy a Raspberry Pi to finally self-host my own media stuff. (HubZilla + Cryptpad/Nextcloud, maybe Matrix for shits and giggles.) Moving your stuff from one Hubzilla instance to another apparently is easypeasy.

A little late here, as All Ships Week is over as of today, but moving houses made me neglect some spaces. I've just dropped my two drabbles in [community profile] stef_writes. Hopefully, I'll be awake enough for posting those to Neocities/Nekoweb tomorrow…

So, for completeness' sake, here's my little ship dossier for my tiny ship that only I will ever sail on.
ASSW_Ship-Dossier.png

P.S.: Have a look at [community profile] ficwip for weekly Word Games and more fun events throughout the year.
stefanyeah: (Goji_fabulous)
#ficwip is bringing the Wordgame Wednesday over from Tumblr, Discord and Bluesky. Come over and participate each Wednesday by sharing a sentence or two from a WiP with the week's word in. :D

In other news, we're moving all month, Gojira is still dealing with his episcleritis, I'm working on an evergrowing fic for Bandom Winterfest (still need a beta for that little monster)… And once the move is over, I can go back to binding a few fics that should have already been bound…
stefanyeah: (Default)
Just tried to minimise my reading page, as it gets a little overwhelming when I come by once in a blue moon. But I guess the one that's really posting a lot is Fandom Calender and I don't want to leave that one…
But at least most exchanges I've joined throughout the years are cleaned up.
stefanyeah: (Einstürzende Neubauten)
It’s F50 day and… I’ll just cheat and break from my planned youtube recs, because the totals of FTH ’25 were announced today. And they’re mindblowing.

Last year’s record of $67.776,28 has been almost doubled and we came in with a whopping $127.204,11.

And while fandom has its days of being no fun and internal conflicts (most of them unnecessary, I’d say) today shows why we stay and don’t just outgrow our silly little interest in favour of doing our taxes. I’ve made friends through fandom, I’ve found new hobbies (one of them enabled me to join FTH this year), it’s escapist and yet we do some real good every now and then.

We can be proud of us.

And I feel like I’ve wanted to gush a little more, but I forgot half of it. So… Stay awesome everyone.
stefanyeah: (Goji_fabulous)

The Auction has closed. Thank you so much to everyone who participated. <3

It’s time for Fandom Trumps Hate and the Bazaar again, and for the first time, I feel comfortable participating. Exciting!

My Offer

I’ll typeset and bind a story for you. You’ll receive the physical and real book as well as the pdf of the typeset.

The Details

Size: Octavo (A7) or Quarto (A6) depending on length and page count

Max word count: 80.000 words or less (Can be one big story or a collection of shorter stories)

Binding Styles:

I offer mostly non-adhesive binding styles. Here’s a video showing some of my examples:

Styles in the video: French Link, Coptic and Ethiopian (with Coptic endbands, if you want that stitch around the whole book, please be aware it will be very imperfect), Secret Belgian, Japanese Stab binding for shorter fic, that pamphlet notebook style

Edit 2025-02-22:
I've forgot to mention longstitch and I'm also getting comfortable with the sewn board binding. So I'm adding those to my offer. ;)

Generally, I am open to work with your ideas regarding colours, design and materials, however, the final decision will be made by me based on my experience and the materials I have access to.

I also try and be good and fill my bookbinder bsky and Tumblr with what I'm creating.

What I’ll Bind:

  • your very own stories

  • public domain stories

  • other author’s stories only if you provide their permission via screenshot; a blanket permission is fine. The good people over at FPS list are keeping a directory of fanwork creators with blanket permissions.

  • If you’d like fanart to be included, please also provide proof of permission by the artist, I might also utilise public domain graphics.

  • Languages: German, English, Dutch (I’m not very fluent, though. But I’m megalomaniac enough to offer.)

  • Please only ask for E-rated works if you’re over the age of 18.

While I might not be going to closely read the text, I’ll have to go over it and thus, I have some DNW’s:

  • underage sex

  • Nazi RPF

  • vore, scat, watersports

I am willing to go in fandom blind, but if you want to know which fandoms I’m familiar with, here’s my Ao3.

If in doubt or if you’ve got any questions, please, feel free to contact me at any time during the auction.

How does the auction work?

  • The starting bid is 30$

  • Bidding runs from Tuesday, February 25th to Monday, March 10th

  • To bid, fill in Form closed.

  • In this Spreadsheet you can check the currently highest bid.

If you are the highest bidder, I will contact you via E-Mail within 24 hours. Please donate the pledged amount to any organisation listed here by FTH and send me a proof of donation until May 12.

Please keep in mind, that it might take me a few months to create your book. I will keep you updated during the process, though. Expect photos of your growing baby along the road. ;)

Shipping

I’m located in the EU, but will send wherever DHL delivers. If the shipping is over 10€, I ask you to cover additional costs. The decision to add tracking or not will be yours, but judging from experiences, it can skyrocket the costs quite a bit.

More Youtube recs. :D

This one is… curious. I haven’t watched all of the videos yet, but they tend to have a certain vibe, a curiousity for strange things. Monsters. A little horror. Comes with philosophic tendencies.

Let’s just let the channel speak for itself:

Worldbuilding. Speculative Biology. Science Fiction.

Welcome to Curious Archive, a place to stay up to date on all things curious. Speculative biology, worldbuilding, history, mythology, paleontology, archeology, and literature are the most common topics covered on the channel. I strive to entertain and educate — and hope you’ll leave every video having learned something new.

Enjoy the curiosities of The Archive…

Playing precautionary catch up now. (There’s a good chance I’ll be slacking come end of March/begin of April, so better get ahead now than running.)

And we’re still in my Youtube recs. This one is not exactly of fannish nature, but for all your questions regarding anything post-death, just Ask a Mortician.

Sometimes light-hearted, sometimes heavy, sometimes all of it in the same video.

*sings*Cromwell's Heeaad )

While I’m waiting for some glue to dry so I can add more glue to my glue, while also mustering up the courage to get a hammer to the textblock and round; let’s talk about some bookbinding channels.

For all your binding needs )
And because it’s bookbinding adjecent: Check out my Fandom Trumps Hate Crafts Stall. ;)
stefanyeah: (Goji '54)
My next series within Fannish 50 are basically youtube recs and I wanted to talk about other channels. But then…

Up from the Depth dropped a new video. And I’m ashamed that even when going through my subscriptions, I missed this one.
SKREEEOOOOONK! )
stefanyeah: (Pokemon_Trikephalo)
Will I keep it up this week with the catching up and building a buffer? We’ll see.

Today, I’ll introduce you to another unexpected ship.

And it's my oldest Ship, too. )
stefanyeah: (HADES Skulls)
On we go with the catching up. (Looking at the week number we’re in, I’m not even as far behind as I’ve feared. That’s good. Maybe I’ll manage to keep up with some more posts this week and I’ll be all caught up and maybe even have a little buffer.)

Another unexpected ship to talk about. This one comes with a fic rec, too.

You want to fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid… )
stefanyeah: (HADES Moros)
Time to catch up with this, after a few weeks of germs, sick dog and a minor concussion. And the upcoming week will see me losing my last two wisdom teeth…

So, what’s in my file of ideas for the next weeks? Unexpected Ships, Youtube Channels, Cryptids… Let’s have an unexpected ship day today. Something easy.

Lionflame )
stefanyeah: (Blue Öyster Cult)
You won’t ever get this song out of your head. You’re welcome.

And I know, this doesn’t fit the opener categorie, as it’s the closing song. But the opener hasn’t got it’s hooks into the brains of children just like Warum bin ich so fröhlich did.

So, meet the hero of my childhood: Alfred Jodocus Kwak. (Yes, you say the whole name instead of just Jay or something. People get rightfully called out for such laziness.)

We Germans got lucky, with Herman van Veen singing for us as well. 👍

Fun story time: )

I really need to renew my subscription to access my Alfred icon…
stefanyeah: (Goji_fabulous)
And on we go with more anime openers.

For once, we didn’t get some techno-y song just for the German release, but an actual translated song. I don’t know the original Japanese DragonBall theme song, but it sure feels like it got the Sailor Moon treatment. I also wonder, did Japan get different openers throughout DragonBall's run, or is Prince Pilaf shown during the Red Ribbon and Piccolo sagas as well? Should throw myself into a youtube rabbit hole.

But for now, let’s enjoy the German version of Cha la head cha la, because it's just a fun song to bop along to.

And after my rewatch of the Hellsing OVA this week, as it was all I could do after coming back home from my appointment on Thursday, I might do another DB reread. 🤔

As a bonus, the aforentioned theme song to DragonBall:
stefanyeah: (Einstürzende Neubauten)
It’s Sund… ah, well, better late than never once again, eh?

Let’s talk about theme songs again.

I don’t even know the Japanese opener, but at least in Germany, MTV decided to go for a different opening song for the Hellsing tv series.

The song is Aim 4 by Flint, the solo project of the late Keith Flint of The Prodigy fame.

It just rocks so hard and… yeah. Great song. The closer is Laughs from the same album. Sadly, it doesn’t seem to have been widely recognised. (I had it ripped from somewhere on my old iPod classic.)

But someone on youtube did the good work and uploaded the whole album in one big chunk here:
stefanyeah: (Mothra)
A day late, because I was tired and low-key migrained yesternight. Today I'm just tired, after the meds in the morning worked. (I blame Gojira. Boy needed to get out to stare into the darkness every few hours tonight. I told him that it will be the snippy snapp if he keeps this up. (I won't. I love him even if he tortures me via sleep deprivation.))

Buuuut, Fannish 50 Time! I've went through the list of suggested themes last week and immediately made a short list of Songs to talk about.

Let's have a few weeks filled with nostalgia for opening songs. (Well, one will be the closer. Look forward for that being stuck in your head forever.)

Today, though, I'll introduce you to the Super Moonies.

You might guess from the name, that this is a Sailor Moon themed band… )
stefanyeah: (Goji_fabulous)
Lets start this. I'm not sure yet what this will look like, but I'm looking at the suggested list of topics and themes. And today, I think I'll talk about: Scenes to Pin Up and Label "Like This"

Sooo… Let's talk about this little, tiny detail from my beloved Beowulf movie from 1999 with Christopher Lambert.

One Perfect Scene ahead )
So, yeah, one perfect moment in an otherwise… differently perfect movie. 🤣
stefanyeah: (Alfred)
Long time no post here. What's been happening in the meantime?
I started dabbling in bookbinding. I'm still working on that Hades long fic. Gojira and me participated in another dog show and scored another "Very Good". I started doing online studies to become a dog nutrionist. Been playing some of the Hades II Early Access.

Also, I joined a little, free Hades zine as the layout mod and did the layouting and typesetting and it's been released today.

Welcome

"But, if you want the freedom to [go] anywhere, talk about anything, then write books. […]

People write to say this story is the funniest they've ever heard.

People write to say it's the saddest they've ever heard.[…]

These are the places that only books can go.

This is the advantage that books still have. This is why I write.

Thank you for reading my work."
