Hank Ernest Taylor

December 23rd 2015 The day this tiny guy was born-- On Monday (the 22nd) I woke up feeling different. Everything was sore...more so than the past few weeks. I think I finally rolled out of bed around 10, phone in hand texting my husband who was going to be home that night, letting him know that I was feeling different and to not expect any chores to be done because I was going to be on the couch all day. What started off as little pains turned into what I was pretty sure to be contractions. I had had Braxton Hicks pervious weeks, andthis was worse. I continued on with the day trying to do the best I could to take care of the other three babes. The contractions also continued throughout the day. They stopped for a bit that night and we went to bed around 11. Once I laid down they started back up again. Starting at about 11:30pm I went through contractions 7-10 minutes apart the.whole.night....Why did I not think I was in labor??!!? I googled and tried everything possible to stop the contractions. Nothing helped. Finally at around 6:00am I woke Stephen up letting him know he needed to lay off from work because he needed to take me to the doctor. I figured we'd go in and they could give me something to stop the contractions. Did I mention they were awful all night and I didn't sleep one bit? So we waited for the kiddos to wake up (refer to Natalie's birth story where she was almost delivered in the car because of this same decision) and we headed in to the hospital in Miles City with the 3 kids in tow at about 9:45am. *Yes, we got pulled over on the way there. We were told "Well your wife doesn't look like she's in agony so slow down".. OK?!!?!! So we got to the hospital and once i was taken into a room of course the contractions started to slow down and were less painful. They checked me and I was at a 7cm... oops! Too late to stop contractions and I guess I was about to have a baby!!!! I got settled into the delivery room, and some friends came and got the kids. The contractions got strong but weren't close enough so they gave me some meds to speed them up. At that point I figured since I had already been through over half a day of labor what was a few more hours of pain so I (foolishly) decided to not get the epidural. I had all back labor and it was awful! I Pushed for about 45 minutes and Hank was here, born at 2:46pm ! Nurses immediately took Hank (still in the same room) and started working on him.. it wasn't until about 5:30pm that I finally got to see and hold him. Because of the hospital we were at and the care he was needing, Hank was flown to Billings but they wouldn't let me be released so I had to stay the night in the hospital. And in Billings is where hank stayed for two and a half weeks until he could breathe and eat on his own!

July 4th, 2013

Holidays are SO much fun with Kiddos.. This year Stephen was able to take a long weekend. We originally were going to take the girls to the beach but then last minute decided to stay home and work on some much needed projects around the house! We had fun just hanging out. I BEGGED Stephen to take us to the Fort for fireworks-- I remember LOVING it when my Dad took us when we were younger. However, my husband isn't much of a crowd guy. Ha! Luckily we got to hang out with family and had a great night with the girls cousins.. Here are some pics! ;)

Nons Golden Birthday

One thing that this family loves is BIRTHDAYS!!! I've always tried to emphasize how special birthdays are for the girls because I feel it shows them how special they are! Life these days gets so busy and crazy that it gets harder and harder to give undivided attention OFTEN. So for weeks (ok, a couple months) we talk 'birthday talk' as often as possible. They look forward to their special day more than anything!! This year was Natalie's Golden year.. She turned three on August 3rd! So, we hadto go big for this one! One of her favorite books (and favorite colors) is 'Pinkalicious'. If you haven't read it to your littles you should! It's adorable. I was able to find some cute ideas, and luckily had a lot of the decor already from Natalie's room! ;) Most importanly, Natalie felt special from the second she woke up! Ok, she was a little moody too.. I got nipped at for using her 'birfday bawoons' for her morning surprise on her bedroom door. lol I had to explain to her that it was a Birthday surprise! She eventually got ok with the idea.
PARTY PREP!--Filling up the Cupcake Pinata!
