I Wish It Was Christmas Today

Here's some Christmas happenings that happened:

Image
I am not a good decorator, but I was proud of this little section of the house so I had to take a picture.

Millie had several Christmas festivities.

Image
We got to see Santa.
Ben was not having it this year, he was hiding behind me at this moment.

So much cousin time.
The Stephens were all able to get together a few days before Christmas.

All of the girl Stephens cousins.

All of the boy Stephens cousins, with uncooperative Benny.

All ten Stephens cousins.

And a sick Millie on Christmas morning.
She had a fever and was so sick she didn't even want to open her presents. Poor girl.

I was a good Christmas. We divided it this year and did a little with the Stephens and a little with the Gray's. Fun was had by all.

My friend was teaching a class called Singer's Company and she asked if Millie would want to do it. I'm so glad that we did it. It was just what we all needed and what the holiday's needed. Millie was awesome and she rocked her pantsuit. Love this girl.

A Field Trip To The Mission

I was able to go as a chaperone on a field trip with Sam's fourth grade class. We went to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. I had always wanted to go check out that mission and I always love watching my children in their school environment. I think Sam liked it but if you ask him, I'm sure he would say running around the park next door was his favorite part. (The last few pictures.)

It was a packed house but it was fun.
Thanks Mom and Dad for throwing a great Thanksgiving gathering.

A Las Vegas Roadtrip

We went to Las Vegas to go to my niece's baptism and of course I didn't get any pictures of the event or the special girl but we did get pictures of our detours there and back. But the day was good and Mallory is such a sweet girl, I'm so glad we went up there.

World's Largest Thermometer, Baker, CA

The Las Vegas sign.
Which the kids were pretty tense about. Some were tired and some were just nervous about all of the interesting characters. Kate did a good job at mother hen-ing them.

On the way back, we stopped again in Baker at the Alien Fresh Beef Jerky store.

And we investigated Zzyzx, CA. (just outside of Baker)

It used to be a mineral spring, that boasted of it's healing properties. It is now being used as CSUSB's outdoor studies facilities. So even though the baths and bath house look abandoned, it is not. So be respectful and follow the rules and stay on paths. I have always been curious and we had some time to stop and it was so cool. It would be better for older kids, Ben's legs were getting tired from so much walking, we couldn't stay long.

Worth a detour if your kids need to get out and stretch their legs.

It was a nice quick trip. It is always nice to hang with the Tibbitts and I love exploring new places, so it was good.
