The STRABAG whistleblower platform is used to securely and - if needed - anonymously submit reports about (alleged) violations of laws and internal Group regulations by STRABAG and/or its employees. It intends to allow such reports to be handled and investigated efficiently while protecting the identity of the whistleblower and ensuring their anonymity.
Anyone can submit a report. The STRABAG whistleblower platform is available to employees of STRABAG as well as to third parties (in particular to business partners, including suppliers/subcontractors, customers/clients, etc.).
You should report suspicious cases concerning violations of laws or internal guidelines by an employee(s) of the STRABAG Group. You can submit reports regarding the following topics:
Business Compliance
Discrimination
Human rights & working conditions
Health and safety in the workplace
Environment
On the home page, click on the “Submit report” field and follow the instructions.
If you wish, you can remain anonymous. To remain anonymous, select the appropriate option as part of the message in step 2.
If you are unsure whether a situation really constitutes a violation or not, you can use the “Ask a question” function. Your identity is also protected here / your anonymity is guaranteed. Your question will be answered by the person responsible for that subject area.
In the same way as for the submission of reports, you can ask any kind of question which falls under one of the following report categories:
Business Compliance
Discrimination
Human rights & working conditions
Health and safety in the workplace
Environment
All information and data entered into the STRABAG whistleblower platform is encrypted and can only be viewed by the responsible STRABAG case managers. Information about the reported incident will only be used and shared to the extent necessary for the investigation ("need-to-know" principle). Your identity will be kept secret unless legal requirements require otherwise.
The STRABAG whistleblower platform is operated using the platform of EQS Group AG, a company which specialises in such reporting systems. All information and data entered in the STRABAG whistleblower platform is encrypted and can only be viewed by the responsible STRABAG case managers. The case manager will keep your identity strictly confidential and will only share your identity if required to do so by law.
If you submit a report in good faith, you will not suffer any negative consequences. Please note that intentionally submitted false reports may have legal consequences.
Reports or questions are only forwarded to the case managers responsible for the particular location and subject matter for further processing. The respective case manager will decide on the further course of action and if necessary, contact you by email, or via the STRABAG whistleblower platform in case of any questions, or if more information is required.
You will receive an immediate confirmation when your report has been received. You will also be informed promptly – within the legally-prescribed period at the latest– about any follow-up measures taken via the inbox function of the STRABAG whistleblower platform.
You will immediately receive a confirmation of receipt of your question and a prompt response – within the legally-prescribed period at the latest.
What matters is that, at the time the report is made, you believed or assumed that the content was true and that you did not make the report with an abusive intent. You are not expected to gather evidence or investigate the incident yourself. The respective case manager is alone responsible for the investigation. Even if it turns out during the investigations that no violation took place, you do not have to fear any negative consequences.
All allegations are subject to a confidential and fair investigation. It is particularly important that the person accused is not wrongly subjected to negative consequences. If the investigation so requires, the accused person will be informed of the allegations made against them and given the opportunity to comment on the allegation. This will be done while preserving the anonymity of the person who made the report.
Malicious reports or reports that are not made in good faith may have legal consequences.
The inbox function enables direct and secure dialogue between the whistleblower and the responsible case manager, while protecting the identity of the whistleblower / preserving their anonymity. This dialogue is especially important for queries and requests for further information in order to fully investigate an incident. At the end of the reporting process, you will receive an automatically-generated case number for which you will need to create a password. You can then use this login information to log in to your personal inbox at any time by clicking on “Inbox” and then following the instructions.
You will receive prompt feedback – within the legally-prescribed period at the latest–about any follow-up measures taken via the inbox function of the STRABAG whistleblower platform.
If the contact persons for the whistleblower system are not responsible, personal data will be deleted within 14 days of becoming aware of it and the contact person will change the processing status in the whistleblower system accordingly.
If the contact persons for the whistleblower system stop investigating the matter in the absence of substantiation of the facts on which the report was based, then personal data will be deleted within 14 days of becoming aware of this, and the contact person will change the processing status accordingly in the whistleblower system.
If allegations are confirmed, the data may be retained for the purpose of asserting legal claims and carrying out official and/or judicial proceedings until a legally binding conclusion to these proceedings has been reached.
