In the early 1900s, WSU’s Farm Demonstration Trains brought expert-led classes and cutting-edge innovations straight to rural Washington towns. These rolling classrooms lit up lives and proved education could go anywhere.

Farm Women’s Vacation Camp

No kids, no chores—just community, learning, and fun.

In the 1920s, WSU’s Farm Women’s Vacation Camps gave rural women across Washington a true getaway while delivering practical skills, lifelong friendships, and a whole lot of Cougar spirit.
