Playing Catch-Up....

This is Tracy talking (I'm one of her friends in Newps)...Chelsie is taking too long of a break with updating her blog, so I thought I would help her out and do it for her.

I asked her what she wanted posted, and she said Ansofie's 1st Birthday!

Here you are Stringham Followers...a recap of what took place in January 2009.

Anso had a beautiful cupcake cake made... and this is what her dad made her do to the other cake...

He explained to me that it is some tradition on the Stringham side. Chelsie was a bit furious to say the least. Obviously, Ansofie was too.

Sorry I didn't take a pic of the food layout, but there was hamburgers fresh off the grill from Gulfstream (Chels' workplace), some super tasty cole-slaw, chips, dips, salad, every topping imagineable (I think there was even sauercraut (sp?)), and tons of cake.

At least Chelsie had a good time :)

No cake in her face...not yet anyways..her bday is coming up soon...so prepare yourself Chels!

...I NEED to Post!!! I'm getting to it. Geese, it's 2 in the morning, and I've been too entertained with checking out my Friends' Blogs! Pathetic, I am...I know, I KNOW!! They are SO GOOD! Ok...going to bed now...nite nite.

Anso's 1st Christmas

Yes, it's the end of March and I am writing about Christmas still...pathetic I know-I'm the WORST Blogger EVER!!! Slowly, but surely, I will get current, mark my words...it WILL happen-and not "when pigs fly"! So, Christmas, yes...we had a very nice one at our little place. We were so lucky to have MaryAnn & Richard and Breeze & Craig all here staying with us for the holiday. We made it work just fine and it was VERY cozy and chill-LOVED it!! And I know Anso loved it, you can tell in these pictures. But apart from all the new toys and the attention she received, the part I think she liked the most was when Jed, Gwen & Riley came over and Riley decided to use our stairs as a slide. Check out these vids-sorry it is a four-part series, but I guarantee, it won't disappoint!

I was DYING!!! We had NEVER seen her or HEARD her squeal like that-it was HILARIOUS!! The veins were popping out of her neck!!! Haha :) Riley always makes her laugh, it's so cute!!

To finish off the night, I wanted to take some nice, family Christmas shots. Here I was thinking they were turning out all nice and SERIOUS, and then I see what was actually happening...

...of course my silly husband is RUINING the pictures-that's ODD!! What a PUNK!!! (And that's tame-See our updated Profile Pic in the upper Left corner-it's even sillier of Matt, plus Anso is chewing on her lizard! UGHH!!)

Christmas at D-land Then & Now

My "Babes in Toyland"! ;) love, Love, LOVE "It's a Small World" at Christmastime!! If you've never been, they almost totally change it by decorating each room all "Christmassy" like how that country would celebrate it and, they add "Jingle Bells" along with their main song-"It's A Small World After All". Makes you like the ride again-if you know what I mean. And, it also helps to have a child cause they just stare wide-eyed and take everything in-Anso LOVES it!

Anyway, we went this year (I mean last year '08 of course) before Christmas to take some pics at Disneyland as a Family-because, what an amazing backdrop, right?! Even though it was a cold, misty night, we still managed to get some good shots. Last year ('07) Matt & I did the same thing when I was SUPER prego, and I'm thinking we should make this a yearly tradition-as long as we live so close to Disneyland! Why not?! It was kinda fun to compare each year, so I thought I would share. Here we are, Pre-Anso...and Post-Anso...

Oh, then there's the Castle! So BEAUTIFUL at Christmas!! Absolutely STUNNING!!! I thought they changed it a little bit this last year, but looking closer at these two pictures, nope, I think I was wrong-they look pretty darn similiar don't ya think?! Gorgeous, none the less :)

WOW-my belly was HUGE!!! Pretty cool to compare our little Fam Then & Now! Hope you enjoyed!

Walker Girl!

I forgot to mention when Little Girl first started walking-geese, Chelsie, HUGE milestone!! Well, we were hoping she'd start at Thanksgiving when all the Fam was here...but, nope, didn't happen :( She was standing and holding onto EVERYthing...soooo close, but still no steps on her own! So, sure enough, after everyone was gone, (and of course I forgot to note the exact day) she took her first steps! I do know she was about 11 months though!! It was pretty cool-I was so excited-cause that meant I didn't always have to carry her everywhere-YAY!!!

Auntie Liz and cousin Romey came to visit shortly after she began walking, so we had a blast!

And...OF COURSE we totally spaced getting the first steps on video-DANG IT!!! Oh well, our little Ansofie...is now a "Walker Girl"!!! :-))

Newest Arrvial

On Nov 3rd, my brother Rocky and sister-in-law Stephanie had a Baby Boy-YAY :) They named him Liam Ross and we couldn't be happier for them!!! Rocky sent a couple pics-they happen to be ones of him sleeping the whole time, however, which are cute and all, but come on, give us some action! We could hardly wait to finally see him-after Christmas, when we were to meet them in San Fransisco (more pics from that trip to come!)! That was a long month and a half to have to wait!! Anyway, here are a couple shots of the little guy...

LOL-I love this picture of Ansofie & Kaelin...let me explain. In early Nov, I got to babysit Kaelin while Tracy & Adam were at work one Fri. It was only for a couple hours but, geese, you would think it was all day with how pooped I was afterward! Maybe it was the walk I took them on that put me over the edge...um, idk, with Anso in the Bjorn (at 10 months) while pushing K in the umbrella stroller all around the block until the sun set...that was quite a little workout!!




And this was after I had been working all day (that's why I look so cute-NOT) plus we had taken Anso to the doctor that am for her 10 month check-up with all those nasty shots! Usually she takes it like a champ, but, it was the weirdest thing, I gave her that bottle before Kaelin came over (around 3), and she NEVER stopped sucking it till like 8-9 that pm!! Craziest thing-haha!

All in all, the girls and I did have alot of fun! It was just an interesting AND exhausting experience-you know, getting a taste of having 2 youngin's who are so close in age!! I definitely give props to those Moms who do it-WOW!!!
