Welcome
Student Disability Services (SDS) is a resource for the Wayne State University community dedicated to ensuring equal access and inclusion for students with disabilities. Our work is grounded in a social, cultural, and political understanding of disability, and we strive to create an inclusive academic environment by promoting principles of universal design across the university.
SDS provides academic accommodations, assistive technology resources, and training to support student access, self-advocacy, and success. We also engage in education and outreach to foster greater awareness and understanding of disability throughout the campus community.
Getting started
Students who wish to register with Student Disability Services (SDS) for the first time should complete the new student Registration Form . Once the form is submitted, a SDS staff member will contact you within one business day to schedule your initial appointment. If you have any questions, please contact our office at 313-577-1851.
