Thanks to the generosity of a longtime Providence Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute supporter, we opened our new Hypertension Clinic this past fall. This comprehensive clinic is the first of its kind in the region for the treatment of uncontrolled, complex hypertension, the leading cause of death worldwide that affects 116 million adults in the United States.
Wanda Schulze channels her grief into generosity, ensuring her husband Miles’ passion for nursing continues to uplift others long after his passing. Through her philanthropy, the legacy of a beloved ICU nurse lives on, offering comfort, dignity, and hope to those facing their hardest moments.
Jesse Goss was preparing to say his final goodbyes when Providence Swedish’s transplant team offered him a lifeline, stepping in with compassion and hope after others had turned him away. After a life-changing liver transplant, Jesse is celebrating a life renewed — and giving back with a monthly donation to help others like him.
Virginia Kuo, a young mother of three, was suddenly confronted with a stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis but found compassionate care at Providence Swedish Cancer Institute through philanthropy-powered clinical trial options and personalized treatment approaches.
