Have signed up (I think. LJ was being obstreperous re sign-in) for this year's Spook Me (should look to see if they have mirror on DW)! I miss prompts and challenges! It was motiviating!

::checks:: Welp. Looks like my anon comment didn't go through.
Well. I still have the story idea, motivation just evaporated...but I have a file started in Word. I want to work on it...

Jazz/Prowl, Borealis!verse, a ghost story! Megavorns after the war, the other two members of Prowl's trine are in Vos, canoodling and keeping up diplomatic relations - Strake is taking a turn at being trine leader and Prowl is keeping out of the way. Jazz needs something to do. Following a lead from Beachcomber and some of the geology Waterbabies, they head for the innards of Cybertron!
Domestic fluff! Ghosts, sort of!

I have a lot of details to work out, but those usually come in the writing...

In other news, the linen shift is all put together except the side seams, which I need to do a fitting first before tackling those. I have the sleeves on but not felled completely. Er, one is done but not the other. I can only hand sew for a while because my elbow objects - I have to hold it at a very acute angle so I can see what I'm doing... ^_^

The footrest is mostly assembled, including the drawer, and it's been sanded. Need to put the faceplate on the drawer, sand that, add decorations, then stain everything, paint the inside of the drawer and a couple of bits on the legs, then polyurethane the heckie out of everything! \o/

Finally saw blue sky yesterday, after a month of Smaug, but it's smoky again today. ;_; Can't imagine how the firefighters are coping. D8

Uuuhhhhhh I need to go get the bladder stones out of my work pants pocket before they go in the wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D8
tainry: (summer)
So much has happened, and nothing much has happened. I get small things done, and spend all my cash on things I don't strictly need and haven't even used or read or whatever. ::rolls around::

In a vague attempt to get myself a little bit more active, I'll do a little documenting here on what might be - with a great deal of leeway - called Current Projects!

The fine linen from Burnley & Trowbridge arrived today and I got the ends zig-zagged and it's currently in the wash. My aim here is to entirely hand-sew a medieval shift. I have my measurements and the pattern plan sketched out via Morgan Donner on youschmoob. I have fine linen thread and beeswax. (Linen and silk thread needs to be waxed, apparently. So I will do that.) I have been watching a great deal of Bernadette Banner also on youschmoob re hand sewing stitches and it seems a thing I could learn to do, and I think certain things I would find much easier to sew by hand than machine because I cannot reliably sew a straight line by machine. XD Boning channels in a corset? Yeah, think I'm gonna take the five million years and do that by hand because yikes. Sewing around a corset busk? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah hand sew that. o.o;

In somewhat related news, the French lace from Latvia/Etsy has finally arrived!!! Ordered in May, sat in a postal warehouse in Europe for several months. XD Anyway, that means once I get my hair dyed I can proceed with the Florence Welch Met Gala challenge shenanigans! Woohoo!

In yet other news, the set of fancily turned 16" table legs also arrived, so Dad and I went bemasked to Lowes to get wood for the footstool top and a little semi-secret drawer he will be constructing. I will be helping! Might even use the drill press what the hell! 8D (This footstool is a thing I have been wanting for many many moons, so that I may prop my feet up more comfortably as I spend hours at the computer. It has to clear the subwoofer and the under-structure of the desk, and yet be high enough to be comfy.)

Have a start on a fancy necklace involving dupioni silk and one of my nail polish on glass cabs, but am awaiting yet another delivery of beads to progress. Copper! 2mm ovals! I have copper seed beads but why not complicate a project by demanding an excruciatingly specific thing????? \o/

I last worked on Borealis some weeks ago and did make good progress on several scenes. Instead of writing more, I spend my evenings after work - and much of the weekends - watching documentaries and the youschmoob channels of sewists and other makers. This is not bad per se, but I am not producing much myself. Sigh.

Meanwhile, large swathes of California are on fire, as per usual these days. So far none of my Bay Area friends have had to evacuate, but thousands of people have, and hundreds of homes have been destroyed. We have a lot of smoke haze in the valley, with a light dusting of ash on Thursday, plus the triple digit temps, but no fires near us. The air quality is horrific. Firenado! Cal Fire website says we could have more dry lightning from Sunday to Tuesday, which can spark more fires. What's on your 2020 bingo card?

Actually made a little bit of progress, even though in wordcount it was only like three paragraphs, but it gets scenes done. \o/

Will leave Word open, just in case. In the meantime I've been buying lightbulbs and dahlias and books online, and am lining up to get a whole smegload of silk swatches from Silk Barons...mmmm dupioni...........
(I have read that dupioni is Not Historical, but...I love it. Soooo shinyyyyyy..... Also I'm p sure that hardlight hologram avatars aren't Historical either, so.)

OK, I'm writing little cards and letters for people, to mail out to support the USPS - though I've got some going out to Canada too, so let no borders come between us! Message me with your snail addy if you'd like one!

Last time I sent out winterthing I got about four packages back so I know I don't have current addys for several people.

I also know not many people cruise around here anymore, but I can probably pick up a few of you? Sakon, Kalloway, I know I have yours. PWW, Tallihensia OBVIOUSLY... XD Monsieur John I have an addy for you and have assumed you have not moved?

So it's raining - yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! - and I'm trying to write, but getting hung up on stuff, and also chunks of this chapter have gone unwritten all these years because it's weighty stuff and difficult but also awkward because the idea of it went in v early but as the years passed I got more interested in other things. Non-human things. Prowl things and Drift things and Optimus and Megatron things. ::lays head gently on desk::

Like, did I name Nate's kids and spouse??? It's all so heteronormative and boring. Is Marissa really in her 20s in 2086? Should I make her older to be in astronaut training? 30s maybe, or 40s... I think she was a kid during the air-show chapter so I can find that and check, unlike Nate's family because while I think I have mentioned them I never wrote names down and I have no idea where the mention was and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.........

So I've made up names. And I wrote them in the notebook this time. And I'll go down the rabbit hole to find a Marissa mention.
I had birthdates on a stickynote, but that got put somewhere when I got a new monitor several years ago. hahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
XD

So about a week-ish after my last post...end of January, ack...I got a box from kalloway!!! Full of many wonders!!!

A familiar card - :DDD The gathering of things through the year, Giftmas in January as per SOP...
A whole set of mini pens!! OMG I needed these! I like to keep a pen in my jeans pocket when going out; I know I can make notes on my phone now, but I can still write faster than I can type on that bitty screen, and also mark which takeout styrofoam box is mine... Or draw things on napkins. IDK. Anyway, I love mini pens, yo. <3
Iridescent beads, about size 6, or bigger maybe - excellent~! Iridescence is my jam!
Autobot and Decepticon sigil stickers! Useful! <333
More big seed beads, in a coppery lilac color that will go perfectly with a long-gathering project! \o/
Polar Ice - Grow Your Own Ice Cubes! With a wee polar bear figure! Eeeheehee! Well I'll have more ice than the actual North Pole by summer... XD Polar bear can hang out with Hound and Beachcomber. <3
Two squeeze-packages of turquoise and celadon assorted beads! These are v handy for random stuff I don't happen to have a whole strand of, and they're color-sorted so yay! <333
Instant AMAZING SNOW POWDER!!!!!!!!! Man, I need to do a 'bot photo-shoot in this stuff... :DDDD
Glow bracelets aka Energon Chains! I think Hot Shot is still in his last set. He seems comfortable...
TF napkins! Like ya do! OK, so we keep a small stack of napkins in one of those 60s plastic holders for sudden spills and whatever in the kitchen, and Tang, Destroyer of TP, only chews up the white napkins. I don't know, ok? His mother was a cat, that's all I got. So colored napkins are Safe. Thank you. <3
Two packages of TF battle cards! Lessee, a foil BBB card, seven battle cards...two with Overlord on them those get BURIED somewhere eek. But there's a good Chromia and an Arcee and Jazz playing ...some kind of base/cello/idk so yaaay! <3333 Megatron foil card, holo Decepticon I don't recognize? One of the Stuntis??? idk... Oooo, good pics of Wheeljack and Prowl on two other cards! <33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
(I just got Cyberverse Wheeljack and Prowl a few weeks ago, too...I should like write them a snuggle or something.... xD)
Two Botbots! One is a little green thing...is it a pillow?"Miss Mixed"...this does not explain what she is. o.O OK she's part of the wilderness troop, so...a bag of trailmix???? XDDDDDD Aaaaand "Pop-O-Gold" a rare 'winners circle' golden box of popcorn! XDDDD These are crazy and hilarious and where is the fic about them????
Two blind bag minifigs: Hot Rod! Smirking from the underside of his vehicle mode because of course he is. XD And Starscream! Wow! Two actual popular characters!!! That almost never happens! <333333
And one TINY Optimus Prime OH MY GAH HE'S SO ADORABLE!!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH AND i'M SO SORRY IT'S TAKEN ME TWO MONTHS TO POST THIS AAAAAAA BUT THANK!!!! <33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333

=========================================================

In Plague News: I am still working, so the weird has not hit me as it has many others. I also live with two other humans and four cats, so my limits in solitude have not yet been tested. To my fellow introverts: "\o^_______________^o/ <3" To the extroverts out there: "I am so sorry. How are you doing? Please engage in self care." Thank Primus for the internet.

Sewed 8 scrub caps for work today - we're doing curbside services now and need to spare the disposable caps for actual surgery. I used the simplest pattern I could find and they're a little wonky, but boss is going to buy fabric and stuff and I'll bring the pattern specs for other patterns I printed out, see what people want, maybe take Actual Measurements? What crazy is this? So we might have our own little sweatshop upstairs for sewing the things that can be reused. We have enough gowns I think - I mean those are standard cloth that we wash and autoclave, so we already had those. Probably the curbside staff can use cotton 2-layer masks, though, so again to save the disposable actual surgical masks for surgery and dentals. We'll see how things go. I have several packs of bias tape for ties if we need that. Why do I have bias tape? I do not know. I have never used it. o.O

Speaking of sewing stuff - the sunroom/sewing room is almost finished! Just a few more stacks of things to sort and get put away! Wooo! And I got to do the first sewing in the space earlier as I made the curtain for my new fabric stash bookcase! It is a sun room, there is a lot of sun, even though our back yard is p shady, everything exposed in there has faded. So. Curtain for my fabric, yarn, trims and patterns. I have all my elastic in a box, and some millinery/belly dance spanglies in another box. Still need to deal with a dismayingly huge collection of buttons, and fill a nice apothecary jar that used to be in my bathroom with extra thread or something... Last niggling bits of this and that, as usual. ;D Am trying to keep that room from becoming a storage dead end again...even if I have to toss all my school artwork in the recycling myself! ...I literally don't know where I'd put that portfolio in my room. o.o;;;;; ..........Unless...hmm. I should measure under the printer table.
XD

OK, so just typing that out up there is helping me a little bit try to work out what needs to happen in what order. I think. I have a lot of stuff to transcribe from handwritten editing to the file, and that will help too, as holes have been filled and that neatens things up. The first line up there should be struck as well, but it's in the notes, not yet typed, so I'm leaving it for now.

I kind of want to ask everyone what they really want to see here? It's a long-awaited chapter! But Sam isn't the first of the Autobots' dear humans to die? So a lot of ground that I hadn't anticipated as being covered already, has been. So it's just that it's Sam this time, and everyone is going to be different, and Optimus knows at least a bit more about what happens than he has before, too. Which has Implications.

Whenever I want to write - immediately! urgently! - it seems I'm already in the middle of something else; the treadmill at the gym, spending the day at friends' house, at work... Argh. Or it's getting really late and I need to sleep, rather than stay up another couple of hours. o.o; (My job now has me on the 7am to 4pm shift, which...I do like getting off that early? And I like Being up that early, and sunrises, and the lack of traffic, but I don't like Getting up that early... XD)

Anyway. But I also don't want to ...like...not do my auctorial Job. It's my chapter and I have to finish it myself. There's So Much ahead! I want to get to those other chapters! I just don't want to cheat these chapters. Any more than I've already done. This is supposed to be fun! And it is! Augh!

In other news: Mom is doing great! Walking around with hardly a limp at all now and sans any kind of cane or walker. Just working on her stamina, and sometimes, on stairs particularly, she has some muscle weakness that's kind of alarming for a second. It'll take time.

From the Making Things Department: Since oh I don't know September or November or something, I've been watching Bernadette Banner (and some of her friends) on YouSchmoob, and being inspired to want to make historical dresses and try hand stitching at least some of it! I'd like to make at least one 1920's day dress and an evening dress and a cocoon coat. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...!
Also Cyclonus' holomatter avatar outfit. Ish. I love Alex Milne's work, but that dress... No. Honey, no.
Also I've wanted to make some kind of steampunk Edwardian getup for Perceptor ever since seeing someone's art of one on tumblr when I first got on there...2013???? idk... Plus I already have the shoes for that.

Am still gathering materials for the Flowers In the Church necklace thing idea. Got some silk thread in five different colors of gold omg they're sooooooo beautiful I want three more sets from that same seller on Etsy..........................! <3333333 Didn't get to the bead shop this weekend, but maybe next weekend. I don't usually use the warm amber honey colors so I don't actually have very many beads, especially seed beads, of the colors I want for this. But once that happens I'll have everything I need, I think. Have to remember to look for a ribbon clasp - or several, if I start making ribbon chokers/necklaces b/c I keep eyeballing that idea too.
Bought a horrible but functional plastic embroidery hoop at the thrift shop today, since we can't find any of the ones we thought we had...Hence:

In related news, Mom and I are starting to KonMari and reorganize the sun room, which is also the sewing room. (We do not keep a sun in there, it is already too hot for most of the year.) We have taken measurements and I think we can keep a lot/most of the furniture in there, but some things I think should go and there's just piles of stuff that needs organizing and better, more accessible storage. There's an old dresser that I have a lot of fabric and stuff in and the drawers stick and it's ugly and I hate it and it's preventing the sewing table from being fully extended and that is not working for me when I have larger things to sew, like skirts or the Alaska quilt (whenever those squares get all cut out...::quiet internal screaming::)
Anyway. That is going to be A Lot, but it Needs to be Done. (◡‿◡✿)

From the Entertainment Front: Watched all the first season of Witcher in two nights. Work nights. Oops. But! I am vastly entertained, and last night I started the first ep again, and they totally fair play through the whole thing! It is excellent! I have seen some criticism online, with which - as often happens - I do not agree. There is no hand-holding re when a particular scene is taking place, but if one Pays Attention it becomes obvious enough to Be Going On With! It is no weirder than any of those one-season art anime shows. Geralt is 3000% Done with everything. And needs a nap. And a bath. Jaskier is hilariously self-aware and Modern. There is no flinching from the terrible conditions of medieval-era life and warfare. This does indeed lean into Tolkien high-fantasy, and the magic in this world is Difficult and Costly. It's a big cast. There are complicated relationships and politics. The plot - yes there is one, thank you - is complicated and very long game. The characters are complicated and charming and occasionally hilarious. Some of Yennefer's costumes in particular are verrrrrrrry interesting! The corded one is amazeballs! 8D There is nothing wrong with the acting, and Henry Cavill especially is doing beautifully. There is snark. Worldbuildy and music are v good. There's So Much to meta about and squee about! <33333333 And there are some WONDERFUL side characters that deserve whole series of their own... <3

THE LAW OF SURPRISE!!!!!!!
OMG... That must have been fae or elves or someone like that who came up with it, and humans just went, "...M'kay. Hold my beer."
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Anyway, I suspect the show is getting some stick because it's Fantasy, and popular at the mo (popular with teenaged girls??? Kiss of Death!), but some of the people I know who have criticisms are fellow nerds so it's a ymmv thing for sure. Criticisms are fine. Engaging with the media is fine. Breathe...breathe...

In other news, also started watching but haven't quite finished an anime called Sarazanmai. Hoo boy! It helps if one is familiar-ish with kappa mythology already, then all the removals of things from anuses becomes normalized by about the fourth ep. Same director? I think? as Utena, so be prepared for that same kind of aesthetic, ritualized struggle with adolescence and identity and family and complex relationships. And Teh Dramas! XD It's weirdly cute.

It's late...but maybe I'll get some Falling Leaves typed in...

Or make cookies.

Hm.

flmff! XD

Work xmas party over!
Last of the plants/bulbs of the winter planted!
Laundry in progress - last load in dryer!
Most of the presents have ...at least been collected and boxed, mostly. A handful are wrapped and under the tree. Waiting for more to come in the mail. u3u

I don't expect to finish the first chapter of the Falling Leaves arc this year, but I've plugged some holes and am almost ready to dig in on the back half... :D

In other news, Nephew the Elder got married November 1st, and we had a reception for them at our house on the 2nd - Dias de los Muertos themed as Niece-in-law's family is originally from Guatemala and they celebrate two days. This proved more apt than anticipated as my brother's old lady cat (who we've been taking care of since he and his family moved onto a boat three years or so ago) quietly passed away as the party was winding down. After most of the other guests left, the grandkids wanted to bury Mihoshi in our backyard. Dad and I picked a spot and dug the hole, the "kids" gathered flowers, I wrapped her in some leftover fabric from the autumn tablecloth I'd just finished making for the party, and we put gathered stones on the spot. It was...really nice, actually.

And today I planted a bunch of bulbs over and around her, so come spring, if creatures haven't eaten them, there will be cat-flowers. <3

In yet other news we've had lovely lovely rain for the past few weeks!!! Aaahhhhhh! <333333333333333333333333 Looks like we're drying out for a while now, which is probably for the best. Clear blue skies today anyway!

From the Making a Dent In the Stacks Front: Have watched the first season of Lucifer, which...has some things that bother me, but is fun enough I got the other two seasons. ^_^; I'm not a huge Jesus fan, or monotheism fan for that matter, but I am enjoying the exploration of Lucifer's character in this instance. It's based on a...comic I presume?...by Neil Gaiman et al, so there's that.

Currently reading The Golden Thread: How Fabric Changed History, by Kassia St.Clair - engaging and interesting! Neanderthals apparently made...at least thread if not fabric???? Mind: blown. O.O Like the whole process of making linen thread from flax is waaaaaaaaaay more involved than I had any idea of! O.O

Have read the first two books of Naomi Novik's His Majesty's Dragon, but have so far kind of stalled out on the third. I love Temeraire so I'll get back to them eventually!

Finished the Raksura books by Martha Wells and am now v sad that there aren't like twelve more... TTATT I love Stone. So much. So. Much. In other Martha Wells news, there is another Murderbot novel coming out in....May? I think? So HUZZAH!!!!!! <3333333

I'm still rereading a handful of TF fics that I find comforting - Project Reset, the Alt-Vos Saga, and now the Flowers in the Church set from Gemmainkyboots on AO3. The latter has inspired some hard art leaning and I am gathering supplies for a necklace/collar/thing. Ivory silk velvet, vintage silk ribbons in honey colors, hexagonal beads... ::hummmmms::

Current manga: Ancient Magus' Bride, Witch Hat Atelier, Made In Abyss, and just picked up the first volume of Flying Witch. :DDD

I've been getting a subscription to ArtBox for the past few months, and that's inspired me to take another (failed) stab at Inktober, but also to get a handful more Copic markers, and a set of knockoffs...wow. Copics are so much nicer. I mean I'm glad to have more colors of alcohol-based pens, but. Oof. XDDD

The hula we're learning this year is based on the journey of Pele's favorite little sister, Hi'iaka, through a perilous forest to collect the body of Pele's current man-crush so they can stuff his soul back into it. (Which they do, eventually.) It's really neat but physically challenging! 8D

Aaaand the other big news of Fall/Winter 2019: Mom finally got a total hip replacement!!! Two days before Thanksgiving. ! So Dad and I made a small meal, I brined a turkey breast and made my first lasagna; the turkey was pronounced good and the lasagna was ok, though I found it a little bland. (Everything got eaten p quickly so it wasn't terrible XD) Mom didn't feel great - that first week was rough - and ate very little. But she has been feeling better and better, has her staples out, has about half a week or so left of using the walker and will switch to a quad-cane, and she says she feels muscle-sore now. She's been limping and walking irregularly for three years on a horribly arthritic hip, so making herself walk properly now? Yeah I bet she's sore! ^_^;;;

Hoping everyone's Winterthing is lovely and peaceful or as rowdy as desired! <3333333333333333333333333333333

Edit is mostly done! There's just one little section, one idea to poke through before I can post...

Soon, though. Sooooon.

Also, have been trying to remember what this track was called, and this afternoon I stumbled upon it while listening to the track for this chapter!

Massive WoW fanvid/cosplay idea attached to this music, Legion-centric... XD

TFCon was great! Toronto was lovely, and I had no problems worth squalling about re airplanes and airports! Huzzah~! I did in fact finish the draft of the Borealis chapter! Now for some heavy editing!!!!!!! XD

But first need to get the draft off the netbook and onto the proper computer.....................

All photos are on the phone, but I'll try uploading them to the computer this weekend, hopefully; maybe post to tumbles and then link that here? Anyway, also need to take pics of the swag, as is traditional; I did score a v amusing Ratchet pillowcase..... ;DDD
tainry: (prowl sexy back by pellimusprime)
Just a quick note to say that I will be at TFCon in Toronto this weekend! I did not get this chapter of Borealis finished beforehand, as I squandered last weekend. I will be wildly trying to get packed tomorrow night after dance class... Must remember to color hair tonight... So I will take the wee netbook with me and see if I can work on anything on the plane...............or whatever. u.u;

(I hate editing on the netbook - un-ergonomic for me - so I probably won't post even if I finish. Updates as events warrant! ;D)

(Also my connection is at LAX and my boss delighted in telling me horror stories re getting to one's gate on time. I am now freaking out even more! Yay! DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD8)

Has it been so long........??????????? Augh!

BOREALIS - New Dawn pt 4:

- Kup and Optimus get it on
- Ravage spies on the Autobots
- Plexie defends Earth, damaged = maybe a third done
- Little bit w Samantha in the shelter = maybe half done, not meant to be a huge thing.... ^_^;
- Mikaela goes up to help repair Plexie
- Cyclonus and his crew begin to explore the remains of Tetrahex
- Cade decants
- Cade deals w/ Bee and Prowl
- Cade deals w/ Soundwave
- bit of an epilogue w/ Raze = either half done or I'll chop it =_=
- Consensus

OK, dang it I really want to finish this chapter before TFCon-Toronto, second weekend of July. Then I can work on Falling Leaves pt 1 while I'm there... ;D

13K words so far, and while the only scene left is in fact the space battle and the immediate aftermath (and Cade and Raze and Prime snuggling)...that's a lot.
Sigh.

In other news, after an unusually wet winter, the garden has been bloomiferous this spring! Well, summer begins in May, here, or April if we're honest, but this year things were fairly mild until May-ish, and the fam and I were in Alaska for a week, which was wonderful and I want to go back, or at least in a generally north-ish direction... Anyway! We had at least a dozen red grapefruits already, the pomegranate tree has a bunch of little red poms on it, the apple tree has gone cray-cray again with the branches bending under the weight of zillions of apples even though we've been culling them like mad, the avocado tree had LOTS of blooms but I don't know how many set, and while the blueberries are not doing well this year, the new sage and other plants I put in recently are all doing great! <3

Looking over recent - as recent as it gets, here - posts...
Still rewatching Librarians. I don't know, I just...I get home after work and I don't want to do anything requiring brain cells, so I make a smoothie or something and flop in front of the tv, and I don't even want to make dents in the slowly growing stack of dvd's I haven't even watched yet - not even Bumblebee???? - because I don't want to have to engage that much, just aarghghghghghghghgh... Once Captain Marvel comes out, though...!!!! <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333

(Bumblebee was cute and I really liked it! I have watched the extras and was sad they didn't include a commentary! Also John Cena is HILARIOUS!!!! OMG he needs to keep...making movies. A lot of movies. And then have blooper reels. All the blooper reels.)

(Have seen Endgame and cried through...most of it, really. I am a sap. ::accepts this:: Not super motivated to see it again, though. ;_;)

Just like I've been rereading raisedbymoogles' and gemmainkyboots' Alt-Vos saga and Renewed trilogy over and over for, like, the past two years, just to comfort myself before sleeps. With occasional forays back into playswithworms' Project Reset stuff...and I still have one more chapter of summer prompts to finish for that and it's completely stalled out...

And Open Circle... Alas menopause has really dented my, er, motivation, ahem. And I've just a few more deflowerings (or one, depending on how one looks at it) before getting into some things that do still interest me in a more - cough - intellectual sense... XDDD I mean, I can still write this! I can! I can get into the mood, it just takes an actual effort now, rather than waiting for the hormone fairy to arrive that month. Blar.

On that note, no word from my uterus since August of last year so yay?

In yet other news, my brother and SIL and their kiddo have sold the boat they were living on and moved to Wisconsin! After the Alaska cruise last month, Brotherman came home with us to load up a moving van with all the stuff they still had in storage, and then he and Dad drove it, and the asshole cat, up to Door County! The asshole cat - he's only an asshole to other cats, mind you - is very happy to be the only cat now, and the five remaining cats here are very happy that he left! Sprocket is far more outgoing and affectionate now, and Mushi doesn't have to be sequestered in the master bedroom alone! Yaaaaay! She's still having yeasty issues and I have not been bathing her as often as I should be, but there is an order of magnitude less feline strife going on around here! Woo!

Brotherman's other cat who still lives here, Mihoshi, is 17 and weighs 4 pounds and has both liver and seizure issues, so we're keeping her for however much longer she lives. Dr. J suspects a tumor somewhere, though he can't feel any in her abdomen, and maybe mets to or from the brain. Her seizures are auditory-triggered/exacerbated, which is really weird; and it's only a certain kind of sound that does it. We're not going to put her through a lot of diagnostics at her age, so basically she gets to sleep wherever she wants, gets to eat anything she wants whenever she wants, and just generally gets snuggled a lot. <3

I want to see Good Omens! And THEN I will reread the book. <3 I do not have Amablob Prime, though. A QUANDARY. I think I can sign up for a free 30-day trial, and/or wait until they release it on blu-ray... They will, eventually, I hope?

(I watched the first two episodes of the second season of Midnight, Texas and while I still love the characters I'm...not into the direction they decided to take the show. They brought the team together! Now it's time to tear it apart from within! Noooooooooooooooooooooooo... ::whimpers softly in a corner::)

Anyway. Back to writing! I got one small scenelet done this morning...I should at least get all the notes and crap in the right order for realsies this time tonight! (Last weekend I got sidetracked in research about what it's like to travel to the launch complexes at Canaveral, and figured out which LC I want Mikaela to use... XD)
tainry: (old books)
Apparently I have not talked about this here, so shall elaborate. XD

Over many years of donating blood, last year I had enough "points" at the local blood bank to have them send me a new paperwhite kindle! So I call that one my blood kindle, which I literally bought with my own blood. XD

My old kindle was a present from Brotherman and SIL almost a decade ago, and I am sad that it is dying. I do intend to look into whether these things can be refurbished, because I both like and dislike the new kindle's touch screen. (I keep accidentally activating functions I do not want! Stop that! Just turn the @$#Q%# page, damn you!)
I do like the blood kindle's self-lit screen so I can read in the dark or wherever! So, I really do like having both. My own small stack of datapads - nothing to Orion's collection, but it's a start... ;D

Not much, but some!
- Finished watching/rewatching commentaries on three seasons of The Librarians - finished the fourth, and apparently last, season last weekend, and was still hungry for Librarians goodness! Mmm! <3 (Although I am tempted to do some meta on how often the antagonist or bg characters played for laughs/stereotypes are POC. Because if Librarians fumbles, it is there. Bigtime. Sigh.)
- Watched the extras on The Shape of Water which were nice but disappointed there wasn't a director's commentary. u.u

- Finished reading Guillermo del Toro: Cabinet of Curiosities; quite a tome, and interesting, but perhaps a little too much for consuming in one afternoon/evening. I think I prefer that level of grotesquery in smaller doses? I'm glad to return to:
- So Far So Good the final poems of Ursula K. LeGuin, which I am finding lovely to read aloud to myself and am putting little sticky markers on some of. I am not a great consumer of poetry, but every now and then I give it a go. And LeGuin is a nice antidote to too much del Toro. Also started reading her Steering the Craft which I think I read many years ago, but this edition was revised recently for 21st century writers. I'm at the first exercise and want to do it before proceeding..................
- Also read a couple of Edward Gorey's short little books: The Gashleycrumb Tinies, The Evil Garden, and The Iron Elixir. The last of which is...less structured than the other two. o.O
- Was up waaaaaaaaay too late last night reading Face the Past by AltraViolet on AO3! Been quite a while since I've read something Mirage-centric and this is mightily intriguing! It's a WIP, but at 14 chapters so far, there's plenty to immerse in... And then I can go back to rereading raisedbymoogles and gemmainkyboots' Alt-Vos and Renewed stories, which have been comforting me this past year, along with playswithworms' Project Reset stories. So much love! <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
(I finally worked out why I keep rereading 'old' fics before sleep - if I read new fics then I stay awake much later...oops! I mean, in addition to the well-loved stories being comforting. But I can also put them down a little more readily when my eyes start drooping...)

- My older kindle is dying slowly. It won't hold a charge for beans so I have to plug it in every other morning if I want to read the fics on it that night. I have a small handful of fics on the blood kindle, (and all the newly acquired ebooks) just not necessarily the exact one I want to read that particular evening. First world problems! XD

- Uploaded a bunch more icons here; some I've been missing from LJ, some new ones, including making a few new ones to be more pertinent to current interests! Bee! Lemuel! Newt Scamander! Newt is a Good Human! (I enjoyed the first movie, even if it cements the feeling that the Wizarding World is more than a little horrifying. The second movie. Uh. Holy shit. D8)

- Got a whopping two pages of notes written into the current Borealis chapter! Sigh. Still untangling the mess of the space battle. I did get the opening scene finished! Ravage spies on Autobots having a picnic! (Now I just have to look up whose idea that was, in the comments for the previous chapter, I hope...o.o) It's just that a lot happens and it has to go in something like a coherent order. I have possibly complained about this before. XD I will try to at least get another page or two in tonight - the two pages I did Friday were fairly dense, so that's something... ^_^;;;

- Got two sets of solar micro-led lights for the garden for xmas and I finally put them around a tree and the gazing-ball stand out the side window by the kitchen so we can see them readily! That was rather late this afternoon so I don't think they got much of a charge. Looking forward to - hopefully - seeing them tomorrow night!

All right, I'm Tainry over on Pillowfort now, but it's being sludgy atm so there's nothing there yet... XD I'm not leaving tumbles, really. Can still get cat pics and pretty landscapes. How much time I spend there only time will tell. There was a LJ community called InspirePlease, which I kind of loved, and that's what I've used tumblr for; I never really connected much or blooged there. ::shrugs::

Friday five thing!

1, What is your favourite food?
Pancakes? Waffles? Toast? Pizza! Ice cream! Burritos! Rice! Balsamic strawberries!

2, What is your favourite food preparation method?
Baking.

3, What is your favourite cuisine or style of cooking?
...........Hm. General Italian and Mexican...by way of California, tbh. u.u; But that's kind of fun, that melange.

4, Do you have any dietary restrictions and if so what are they?
I'm not allergic to anything, I'm just a picky eater - have been since age 4 per Mom. Prior to that she could feed me anything. Having limited menu options, even just because one doesn't like stuff, is tiresome. Sigh.

5, If you could introduce the whole world to one ingredient to improve their culinary experience, what would that be and why?
Energon! No...gosh, I've no idea. I like cooking now and then but I'm no maestro at it. Use spices and herbs more? IDK...

I love the scent of L'Occitane's milk bath body wash, so I am deeply curious about this. What the frag is butter CO2 extract????

Also trying to decide whether to get bff some long velvet gloves on etsy. And some face-warmer "beards" for Brotherman and SIL and Nephew the Younger. Who are, looks like, going to live in Wiscaaaansin now. Where it snew.

I still feel like it would be very interesting to live back east for a year, for the much-vaunted Seasons. I am not sure how I would do in snew as a thing one lives with rather than visits every once in a great while and then goes home from.

CA being mostly on fire atm does make one ponder areas with a greater preponderance of precipitation.

Gods, the Camp fire has killed a LOT of people. ;_;
(Yes the air here in the valley has been awful for a couple weeks, but it's getting better and we're supposed to get a little rain tomorrow night/Thursday. Maybe. We hope.)

In other news, since I'm here, got three more crowns made over the weekend! \o/ All three have to be sent in the mail, though, so I Have A Concern about that. And I need to make sure the address is right for a fourth one that also needs sending, which I finished some time ago.

I have been noodling at the next part of Borealis, but also something oddly resurrected an old Island City multi-chapter fic I've had on the back burner for about ten years????? WhY???? I don't know, but I've been editing what's there, and want to finish so I can entertain tallihensia by having her beta the whole mess, but I also have not decided how I want to handle certain major things because my feelings about those things has changed over the intervening decade. So. Yeah. Iunno. o.o Do I wanna go the whole forbidden love deal with anti-sexual conditioning that needs to be broken? Do I not like that latter anymore because omg masturbation is perfectly viable option here wtf? The worldbuilding decisions have a direct impact on how the plot/smexings are going to go! Sigh.

Seriously. Old fic. I wasn't even putting html formatting tags in or skipping lines after paragraphs yet. Hurgh! O.O
Hmm. Island City was broadcast in 1994? I think? Jegus. And then A, D, tallihensia and I spent about four years trying to make the setting, characters, and genetics work. XD That's actually an impressive amount of time for a collaborative project for funsies like that. ^____^ There was friction now and then, but still; four years! Heeee!

This was before the yaoi/slash goggles.
I've recently looked on AO3 and there are exactly three IC fics, by two authors, (for fic exchanges, looks like) all of which are Mendi/23! XD Welp! I mean it's the obvious pairing, and certainly what I'm doing, too............LOL...

I guess the weirdest thing, once I finish this, will be getting used to calling 23 Greg instead of Craig. o.O (We couldn't tell, watching the awful copies of recorded-off-tv vhs, until we zoomed in on one freeze-frame, but by then we'd all been calling him Craig and liked that better anyway. XD)

Also, self, according to IMDB, it's Sealle, not Seale. Fine, fine..... sigh... And the story takes place in 2035. Hm. I don't remember that, but we might have calculated everyone's birthdates/ages that way. I don't think it matters for what I'm doing now, really - other than I think the changes shown are maybe more extreme than we'd see in 16, 17 years from now. Maybe. Eh.
tainry: (Default)
So. I am surfing the crimson wave again, after almost TWO YEARS of nada. Thanks, uterus. Needless to say, I'm almost completely unprepared. I need to dig through my undersink cupboard to see if I do in fact still have my Diva cup, which would be awesome, since I can boil the thing and use it again. If not, I'll be visiting an aisle in the grocery store I haven't in some time... XD

In other news! Finished watching The Librarians movies (eh, I don't like Flynn much, but it's background information, and his vampire gf was AWESOME! Team Simone! <333333) and the first three seasons of the show! I love all four of the junior Librarians, and Baird is great and Jenkins is wonderful and I super want domestic fluff and lots of it!!!!! <3333333333333333333333

Have also, as of this weekend, watched the first season of Midnight, Texas which I enjoyed a good deal! Especially for Lemuel and Fiji! ;D Mmmm. The end of the season finale was delightful and wonderful after all they'd been through, and I really enjoyed the ensemble cast! Two! Count 'em, two black main cast! And a Latino, plus another couple POC in the B-list! Woo! Also I think the women/men ratio is actually p close to 50/50? Unusual! :D I might have actually found urban fantasy I like! (Due to having read waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much Charles de Lint all at once in the 80s. I did it to myself, but I really still find the whole vampires and werewolves thing p tiresome. MT? Though??? Different! I like it! ::is pleased::) OK, so I also get a little crabby about the trope of Christianity Is Correct re the supernatural - angels and demons are A Thing - but again, this spins it differently enough (ish) that I merely grump to myself a bit now and then.

It helps that the angel is gay, okay?
A nit to pick, though, is that the demon - spoiler? I thought it p dang obvious, but then again I've read Devil & Devil..... - the demon the angel loves is the secondary Latino, and the angel is white. Actually both the angels so far are white. So I'm a little irritated at that. Small sample size so far, I guess.

I think I'm a little done with the trope that not only is Christianity Correct, but the "side of the angels" are super uptight or bloodthirsty and self-righteous douchecanoes. Meh. (The gay angel, Joe, is a dear, though. He gets a little wild-eyed and panicky, but he has v good reasons. He knows what his kind is capable of.) I think I'd like to see, if one has to do angels and demons, something more like Diane Duane does it. Fairest and Fallen, greetings and defiance...! ;D

Anyway, I'm considering getting the books, although I worry that the things I like about the show might be things they added... I have no idea rn, gonna poke around and see. Also I think it got picked up for a second season so huzzah!

Lem. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

In yet other news! I've been playing - and replaying - a new-to-me game called Night In the Woods, which is a neat little animated side-scroller sort of thing. No shooting, really, mostly exploring and dialog, with a pan main character with mental health issues that are important but not...exploited, it didn't seem like? Awww, Mae! <3 I love Bea and Angus and Gregg! <333 It's very autumnal and a bit Lovecraftian, ultimately, not to give too much away... Set in New England I think, so there's that already. Small, rural town, struggling not to go under in tough economic times. u.u
The animation is simplistic, but as you walk Mae along there are leaves to skirl away, and pigeons and squirrels and all kinds of little, lively details. And you get to run around on the powerlines! XD Mother of Vermin! (It's on Steam, so there are Achievements!) I finally mostly got the hang of the jumping, though on my replay I'm hoping to avoid the abandoned grocery store one. Blargh. =_= (You can kind of choose who to hang out with at certain junctures, and while it doesn't change the overall story, you do end up in a few different little scenarios.)
tainry: (dalek procrastinate by honeythunder)
BOREALIS - New Dawn pt 3:
- Ranger, Airazor and Rain go to hang out w/ Strika
- Ar Be-Ka dies, Hom leave
- Jazz comforts Optimus
- Starscream attacks
- Mikaela and OP do that thing they do
- explorers on Cybertron find another AI city
- Fallout from the finding = almost done
- Kalis wants to help = half done
- Structies leave
- Plexie defends Earth, damaged = maybe a third done
- Cyclonus and his crew explore the remains of Tetrahex
- Cade decants
- Cade deals w/ Bee and Prowl = half done
- Cade deals w/ Soundwave = almost done
- bit of an epilogue w/ Raze = either half done or I'll chop it =_=
- Consensus

Once I get the whole Kalis/Stannix stuff done I'll post, splitting the chapter again omg. XD But at least that will reassure folks the fic ain't dead. ^_^;
Have made some progress in thinking about some of these scenes, how they go, certain details, directions to wing off in. Barricade finds great enjoyment in mouthing off to Soundwave. What could go wrong?

I have a couple of things to check, I suppose, regarding past chapter details...or I can wing it and hope no-one minds the discontinuity, if there is one...la la la...

I'm way behind in the non-Lost Light comics, but I've been reading some of oriflamme's fics on AO3 which are spoilery, and they're wonderfully written, though IDW Optimus makes me sad, and are also making me want very much to hurry along to some much later chapters in Borealis to show off the way I've decided to approach certain fandom-specific tropes... ::cackles secretively::

RL continues to proceed apace. ^_^ Tallihensia and I are going to an Ed Sheeran concert in August and I'm finally - after three years - getting a whole week off at a time to decompress before I suplex everyone. u.u; XD

I've told myself to get all the handwritten notes and edits into the file before starting the WoW class mount scenario. XD And then I mean to print out the still-unfinished bits and go down to TB to eat and work.

BOREALIS - New Dawn pt 3:
- Ranger, Airazor and Rain go to hang out w/ Strika = almost done
- Ar Be-Ka dies, Hom leave
- Starscream attacks
- Mikaela and OP do that thing they do
- explorers on Cybertron find another AI city = half done
- Kalis wants to help = half done
- Structies leave
- Plexie defends Earth, damaged = maybe a third done
- Cyclonus and his crew explore the remains of Tetrahex
- Cade decants
- Cade deals w/ Bee and Prowl = half done
- Cade deals w/ Soundwave = almost done
- bit of an epilogue w/ Raze = either half done or I'll chop it =_=
- Consensus

This is all boring and I want to get to the next chapter! Except it isn't; I've just written most of the tension-y bits that are fun and just need to fill in the resolution-y bits, which are not uninteresting but complicated. Blargh. Also I still don't know yet what to do with Kalis and Stannix, exactly. Oops.

Open Circle
- Mirage = aaaaalmost done
- Hound
- M and B
- Pbots
- Ultra Magnus
- HR/TC
- Solus
- Exodus
- Megatron
- Epilogue

Hound's segment was almost completely written, but a huge mess because I think I wrote the scene at least twice and never merged the different versions. Well, now I have, but I'd better go over it in hardcopy at least once. XD (I suppose I could put Hound's bit before Mirage's and thus have something to post, but having Hound's bit done I'm hoping motivates me to try to get Mirage's done, too, and thus have MORE to post! Whee! the Pbots' segment is...more a couple of suggestions than a scene. And I think I want to introduce the Aerials there, too, even though they won't be participating. So that's more complicated than it looks right now.) (So is Ultra's section. So is Exodus. And Megatron's which must encompass the end of the rift between him and Optimus... I think I might just give in to the impulse toward "you two could fix this NOW if you'd just TALK" because we're early enough in the war and in this AU Primus is more awake and inclined to interfere.................)

Spring Prompts
- Nesting = half to 2/3 done, possibly

Silly Self-Insert
- Meeting Beachcomber = almost done
- Faffing around
- Accidental run-in with Soundwave
- Meeting Prime = almost done
- More faffing around
tainry: (bubble rainbow)
Last Spring Prompt has become more emotionally complicated than...well, than I sort of meant it to. Kind of. I knew I was opening quite a can with this one, but now I'm feeling like if I'm going to do this I'd better do it justice. So it'll be late. Le sigh.

In other news: The Late Night Eddie Redmayne Picture Show!
I have now seen Jupiter Ascending - hey I really liked it!!!! :DDDD Not as fun as 5th Element, no, and not as quotable, but omg costuming porn!!!!!!! And there's an approach to Jupiter the planet that gave me wonderful frissons of planetary joy! Yes! Let us go there! I am vastly amused by Channing Tatum's werewolf angel character, and the boots are AWESOME. (Channing Tatum himself, as a subject of Architectural Observation, as we called boywatching in high school, I find I am completely neutral on. Like cilantro. Not attracted, not repulsed, not interested.) Sean Bean was clearly having great fun! COVERED IN BEEEEEEEEEEEEES! XDDDD Also Jupiter the human is a wonderful hera and I really liked her! She's lively and human and smart and makes choices and gamely plows ahead through a world she has not been physically or politically trained for. GO JUP!!! \o/ I hope the Wachowskis continue to make original films following their own inspirations, it's a damn breath of fresh air.
I have also finally seen Fantastic Beasts which did indeed have fantastic beasts in, (THE THUNDERBIRD OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! THE OCCAMIES! <3 THE DEMIGUISE!!!!!!!! <333333 The mating dance!!!!!!!! XDDDDDD) and I loved the main foursome! Epic amounts of domestic foursome fic plz apply nao. Queenie I think, if I had to pick a favorite, was it. Yes. They were all dear, but oh Queenie. <3333333333

Both movies, verrrry white, though, of course. Alas.

I am looking forward to Wonder Woman in a couple days, I tell you what. Those Themyscirans. Mmmmmm. There are some names there I might have to lift, for Megatron's Violet-Eyed Daughter. As one does.

I also just got Hidden Figures on DVD today so there's another long-anticipated movie to watch this weekend! Yeeee! :DDD

On the green world front: Dad and I have been culling apples like mad, and the poor little tree still has limbs bowed to the ground. ;_; We let too many grow last year I think.

In related news - IT RAINED LAST NIGHT????!!??!!! WHAT?????? So. This is going to be one of those years, eh? Full of WTF weather. ::rolls up sleeves:: I can live with that, as long as it means sweeps of coolth between record-breaking heat. Today was very pleasant indeed, though it is supposed to pop back up into the 90's by the end of the week. I went for an abbreviated walk at lunch - we're too busy for me to sneak back to the break room and get my cup-o-oatmeal ready beforehand, so I had to sit and wait for it to soak up. But there was a nice little breeze and the shade was so inviting and cool and down the one quiet street different kinds of birds were yelling and cicadas were droning softly and it reminded me of late springs when school was about to end and we sat on Senior Lawn under the huge tree and had lunch sur l'herbe. So nice. ::rolls around::

Heee!

All right, my excuse for buying the mini Robin Eggs - the Easter candy ones - is done. Pic is in the camera, still needs to be uploaded onto computer, but hey. Will this stop me from buying at least one more package of Robin Eggs? Probably not.

In other news, main on WoW is iLVL 881! Saved enough nethershards to buy a couple of bits of fancy gear, so now I can waltz around most of the Broken Isles and clobber most of the things that try to take me on. Even even-con elites! (I thought for a minute I was whaling away on a 112 demon, and doing fine, but once it was down I saw there was a pally or something in there, too, so I had help! XD As a Hunter, I assure you I appreciate pallys and DH's and other tanking classes showing up to the party!) I'm pretty comfy in western Suramar City. Still leery of the eastern half outside the vinyards, though. XD I have spent too much time dead there.

In yet other news, [personal profile] playswithworms' brilliant spring prompts have charged up my lagging brain and the next spring ficlet is at least halfway done! Unless the necessary conversation that is about to happen gets very long and involved. Which it might. Oops. Still need to do my taxes, so I'm gonna push my absolute deadline for these out to the end of May. May is still spring in many places! Not here, but yanno... ^_^;;; (Here it's early summer, let's not kid ourselves.) (At least I don't live in Mordor, though, so there's that.)

Glarb. All right. To bed with me. My hours have been changed to the early shift, so I must be up at the butt-crack of dawn tomorrow. Also am dog-sitting for a neighbor, so there's him to let out and feed and give meds to. And Mihoshi gets her pill twice a day, still. Fortunately none of this takes very long, and I shower in the evenings. ::flops::

Have joined the straggling exodus from LJ. Made some changes around here, expect to do more, given this will now be my main blogging platform. I love tumblr, but not for ramblypom and other things I don't do nearly as much any more, alas. I don't feel up to adding icons tonight, though this is now a paid account and I can haz more! Mihoshi, my brother's oldest cat, (almost 15) who now lives with us, has come down with colitis and definitely isn't feeling well, though she's on antibiotics now and hopefully will start eating again by tomorrow.
::rests forehead gently on desk::

In other news, with all the rain we've had - 30 inches! Ten more than normal, and we're not done, apparently. o.O - the garden is v pleased with itself! Poppies! Callas! Lobelia! And now the irises are beginning!

Progress! Ish...
BOREALIS - New Dawn pt 3:
- Ranger, Airazor and Rain go to hang out w/ Strika = maybe half done, depending on how it expands
- Ar Be-Ka dies, Hom leave
- Starscream attacks = half done
- Mikaela and OP do that thing they do
- explorers on Cybertron find another AI city = half done
- Kalis wants to help
- Structies leave = almost done
- Plexie defends Earth, damaged = maybe a third done

I'd still like to get the last three spring prompts for the Project Reset!verse ficlets done by the end of this month. Erlack! Although I think one of my self-chosen prompts is kind of hanging me up. If anyone has springtime-related prompts - just a word or phrase - I'm all ears!

OK, before it gets any later, I wanted to post about doing Winterthing again this year! I haven't done it in a while, so here's how we go: If you feel comfortable giving an address that is safe for package delivery, to me/some weirdo on the internet, then comment to this post with said address - comments will be screened - and I will send you a winter holiday card and a pair of earrings made by me! I have many many beads! I like to make things! It is meant as a small thing of cheer! There are no other requirements!

Please do tell me if you do NOT have pierced ears, or if your lobes require the service of certain metals - I have a wide range of findings at hand!

(There are a couple of you who know that I know your current address. ;) But I have a lot of addies for people from past Winterthings, but I DO NOT KNOW if any of them are still valid! Please update me if you want to! <3)

Packages may or may not make it to you by Midwinter, or New Year's for that matter, but they will be sent as soon as I can manage! o^___^o

“They’re not supposed to be like Sith Lords,” Groove said. “Only two, master and apprentice. There were thirteen, originally.”

“Thirteen,” Optimus rumbled dreamily. They could have more, no reason why not. Seventeen. Twenty-three. “Or thirty-one…”

“Good grief,” said Ratchet. “Then you’d be like Congress.” Ironhide bellowed laughter, pointing at Optimus’ face.

Had to unexpectedly work yesterday, but today it has been raining! So I am writing! Threeeeeeee more scenes! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

I wonder if there's any microwave popcorn in the house.

ETA: There is!
Also, another scene tied up! Wooo! And I should be able to get Cyc's stuff tied up tonight, as well, since I've finally found the notebook I put the dialog with Rakebones in! \o/

ETA 2: Whoops, the dialog with Rakebones is supposed to be in "Falling Leaves III". So, uh, that's the Tetrahex scene done, then! O.O Holy crap, if I can get the Prowl/Jazz shagging done I can post tonight! 8D

ETA 3: Eh, nope. Poked at it a bit, got distracted by World Quests on WoW for a bit, then Leggy put up links to entertaining sites regarding horrific chemicals like ClF3 and FOOF.
FOOF + carbon tetrachloride = Wheeljack, and not in a fun way. O.O
