Sorry I have not been on here for a while.  Once the kids got in school I thought thinks would slow down, but no I feel like it got busier.  Thefirst pictures are of the kids on their first day of school.
At the end of the summer Connor turned 8 and was baptized a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints.  We are so proud of him.

Also At the end of summer, we decided to take out the trees in the front of our house.  We had tried everything to stop the runners they were sending, but nothing worked.  we were growing a forest in the front yard and starting in the back.  so I came from book club one night just as I see the last tree fall.  This is what my yard looked like.

The weekend before haloween, we finally carved our pumpkins. The kids loved it.  Marc loved his new carving tool. It hooked onto is drill and gutted the pumpkins really fast.  It was nice.  The kids still got to pull it out after it was scraped off.  It was a fun and messy night.

Dad, MOm, Zack, Connor Brielle's pumpkins  They boys did theirs all on their own.  They did great.
They were so excited once Halloween got here.  Zack was a murderer, Connor was an ape and Brielle was the little mermaid.  This year their cousins moved close to us so they got to go trick or treating together and that added to the excitment of the night.  needless to say they did not go to bed early that night for for the next day.

Connor just had his first pinewood derby in cub scouts.  He designed his car a nd pained it hisself.  He loved it.  He came in 4th over all.  We learned a little late that his car ran fast backwards then forwards, but he still did great.

Fair Days

I am so proud of my kids. This year they wanted to try and enter things in the county fair. We have seen others do it, but never had done it. So we thought we would try. The kids did awsome. Zack entered 11 things in the 4H area. He got all blue ribbons and 2 are going to the state fair. He has a wood box he made and a picture he took.

Connor with his spongebob quilt.  He did a great job for his first time.
The kids loved getting to see their projects displayed.  I think we will be doing this again next year.  They are already talking about what they want to enter.

I did enter a few things to try myself and I did get a sweepstakes on my canned tomatoes and a blue ribbon on my Zermatt quilt I designed.  I may try it again, we will see

Owlz

We thought it would be fun to take the kids to a Owlz baseball game for the 24th.  They had fireworks afterwards.  Brittany and Scott and Russell and Carry came with us.  We were sitting on the grass, which was nice so the kids had room to run around and play.  I was hard to see at first because the sun was in our eyes but once it went down it was great and the fireworks were right over us, they were so bright and loud.

Family

We had a family reunion with all my brother and sisters and their families. We went to Seven Peaks. It was so much fun. The kids loved getting to play with their cousins and all the adults loved getting to hang out and get a little sun.  It was a fun day of sun, family, and memories.

TIMBER

Image
We have been fighting with all the little runner starts that our trees have been sending in the yard for awhile.  We finally decided enough is enough.  I went to book club all the trees were up.  When I was coming home and came around the corner to our house as I saw Marc take the last tree down.  Then we had the mess to clean up.  It really looks different.  The house and the yard both look so different.

We have lots of fire wood for next year once it dries out.

Where has the summer gone. I can not believe it is the middle of July. June flew past and now July. we have been busy with Marcs family out visiting, first his dad and Debbie and then his mom. The fourth, some camping trips, I had girls camp, a few trips to seven peaks, and just being busy.

Below my friend Lori came and did some family pictures for us since were all together for Danes baby blessing.  They turned out good.  Thanks Lori

That night we did a BBQ at Russ and Carries with her nieces and nephew.  We did a movie in the yard, water ballon games,  and fireworks.  The kids loved it

The 4th was a little wet this year. It decided to rain on us. But it was still fun. We went to Mom and Dads and did firworks with the Andersons. Now that you can buy fireworks that can go up in the air, it makes all the difference. Dad and Marc had just as much fun buying and picking out the fireworks as the kids did watching them.
