I'm doing a Kickstarter to fund print, e-book and audiobook versions of my latest novel, Black Blossom, a fantasy of manners among aliens. If you like immersion into fantastical cultures, complete with constructed languages and genteel conversations over tea, check it out! I hit my project target in under 24 hours, and we're now collecting money for more special goodies (like an unabridged version of the audiobook). We're at 149% funded and still going on day 5!

Also, if there are any local writers' groups that are good with SF/F, I'd love to hear about them. I write some romance, nonfiction and straight fiction, but not quite as much as I do fantasy and science fiction.

Ok, so you know when you go to IKEA it's a GIGANTIC building, right? Well, things don't look so big in that setting. But when you get them back to your apartment, sometimes the scale is totally off.

Accordingly, we bought the IKEA HEMNES coffee table which is awesome....but too damned big for our living room set-up. And the moral of the story is that assembled furniture is cannot be returned.



So, normally, it's $99 and then you have to do all the assembly yourself as well. This one is assembled and taking up too much space in my apartment so I'm trying to recoup at least some of the money I spent on it. Solid spruce wood, about 35x35" in size.

I will start work this next July in the Temple Terrace area and I was wondering if you guys could suggest any good areas/apartments for a guy in his mid-twenties? Is the Temple Terrace area "alright"? I have heard it is kinda "ghetto" if you will...So, any suggestions? Friend of mine told me about Korman at River Chase. Ever heard of it?

I'm looking for a place in Tampa or Brandon (or as close to Brandon as possible) that can do short precision cuts (think: pixie) very well. I'm newish to the area and have NO IDEA where to go.
