Taskin was born from something every Maldivian has faced; the struggle of finding someone you can trust to get things done. What started as one person’s challenge in Malé revealed a bigger truth: across our islands, so many skilled people go unseen, while families everywhere search for reliable help. Shaped during the Covid-19 pandemic and built with perseverance, Taskin grew into more than just an app. It’s a bridge of trust; connecting people to opportunities, empowering service providers to shine, and making everyday life easier for communities across the Maldives. With Taskin, getting help no longer feels like a struggle. It’s simple, safe, and uplifting; for everyone.

What is Taskin?
Taskin is a platform connecting Maldivian freelancers, skilled workers, and small businesses with customers who need their services.
When is Taskin launching?
We are preparing to launch the app on Apple and Android in early 2026.
Who can become a Tasker on Taskin?
Any Maldivian citizen aged 18 or older with a skill, service, or relevant experience can register as a Tasker. Both individual freelancers and businesses are welcome to join Taskin.
How do I register?
Sign up early on our website to become a Founding Tasker and enjoy exclusive early-bird perks. Once the app launches, it will be able to download on Apple and Android.
Is there a registration fee?
Signing up and listing your services is free. As a Founding Tasker, you get 3 free jobs, while new sign-ups after the app launch get 1 free job. Once your free jobs are used, a monthly subscription fee applies. Even without a subscription, you can still browse the app and view available jobs and bids.
How do I pay for the monthly subscription fee?
You can pay through our website to receive a discounted price, or make an in-app purchase via Apple or Android.
How do I get paid?
Customer may pay you directly in any mutually agreed manner; upfront, in parts, via online transfer, or in cash.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes. You control your service rates, availability, and location.
How do I receive job requests?
Once your profile is approved and active, you’ll start receiving requests directly in the app from nearby customers, or you can place bids on custom jobs.
What if a customer cancels last minute?
You can report an unreasonable cancellation through the app. We will take appropriate action in accordance with our policies. Please ensure you have proof of payment and any agreements made via messages.
Can I offer multiple services?
Yes. You can list multiple skills or service types under your profile.
How do I increase my visibility?
Maintain a high rating, respond quickly, and complete tasks consistently.
What if I face an issue during or after a task?
We encourage customers and Taskers to resolve disputes respectfully between themselves. However, you are welcome to report any issues through the app or contact us at info@taskin.mv

If someone you know is a Tasker but isn’t familiar with using apps, you can help them through our “Assisted Account” feature. You create your own profile and add an Assisted Account for that person, allowing you to help them find jobs, send messages, and manage other tasks.

How do I book a service?
Browse categories, select a Tasker, choose a date and time, and confirm your booking. You can even create a custom job and open for bidding.
How are Taskers verified?
All Taskers are manually reviewed and verified through ID checks and service experience validation.
How do I pay for a service?
You may pay the Tasker directly in any mutually agreed manner; upfront, in parts, via online transfer, or in cash.
What if a Tasker doesn’t show up or doesn’t respond after a payment?
You can report no-shows through the app. Our team will review the issue and assist with rescheduling or refund where applicable.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. You can cancel before the Tasker confirms or within a reasonable cancellation window that does not inconvenience the Tasker.
How do I know the Tasker is reliable?
Check their profile ratings, reviews, and verification badge before booking.
What if I’m not satisfied with the work?
You can leave feedback with photos.
Are services available across all islands?
Yes. Taskin is designed for freelancers and customers from every island in the Maldives.

How does Taskin ensure security for both customers and Taskers?
While we cannot control every situation, Taskin implements strong security measures through verification, controlled communication, reputation systems, and reporting mechanisms. All Taskers undergo identity checks, in‑app communication is secured, and payments are protected. Taskers gain credibility via ratings and reviews and can report or block abusive users, while customers access verified Tasker profiles and can report or block inappropriate behavior. The platform also monitors for spam, scams, and fake profiles to maintain a safe environment.
