Christmas Party

Lessons Learned:
-It's about giving, not getting.
Image
This year I decided to have a Christmas party with the kids. I was so excited I planned it a few months in advance. The theme was 'Giving'. We decorated a Christmas tree with all home made items and brought it to Grandma Summers. It was great, just look at all this fun stuff:

I had made in advance traditional German ginger cookies to decorate.

We painted snowman heads.

Made a gratitude chain and this was a fun thing to do. We all had paper strips to write on about what we loved about Christmas, what we were grateful for and what we love most. My favorite was Easton's, "Aunt Chelle, I love my burr blanket."
Image
We also made a fruit loop chain, just to add some color. And of course we added candy canes for extra sweetness.I think they did a pretty good job don't you!!

After we were done, we all went over to grandmas and yelled 'Merry Christmas' and sang "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer". Thanks for such a fun day my little crazy ones!!

Thanksgiving

Lessons Learned:
-My family is the Best!!
-Balloons make everyone happy!

Image
This year was the 'Moosman' year to be together for Thanksgiving. So we rented the church and had a party. Mom cooked a ton of wonderful food and we had LOTS of fun.

We had a little surprise from my Dad. He invited a 'clown' to come and make everyone balloons. It was great! The kids and myself watched in entertainment for some time while the adults ate the food.

Farmers

Lessons Learned:
-Life is harder without friends.
Image
Well I got a job! I am working for Geoff Cotti and Dave Petterson. It's not exactly what I'm looking for but it feels right and hopefully everything will work out! Geoff Cotti was one of Andy's best friends growing up and I wouldn't have this job if it wasn't for that connection I'm sure.

I'm glad there are good people out there!!

Amblers Weekend

Lessons Learned:
-These kids are just SO cute!!
Image
Amy went to Cali to run a 5k with Heather and Ben had to work so the kids came over for a sleepover! We had lots of fun and did some crafts.

We made pasta necklaces...

South Jordan Temple

Lessons learned:
-South Jordan Temple is Huge!!
Image
Rachel and I went to the South Jordan Temple. It was a beautiful day and it was an enjoyable session. It reminded of the LA temple that was such a giant temple on a huge plot of land!
I'm grateful to have friends who I can go to the temple with and feel the spirit with.
Thanks Rachel for the wonderful day!

First Day of Winter

Lessons Learned:
-Snow is Beautiful!!!
Image
Basically I had a wonderful first day of winter! I slept in, cleaned, did laundry, went sledding with Heather and Autumn, drink hot coco, got to play with little Tucker, went to dinner with Kristina and watched a funny movie by the fire!!

It doesn't get much better than this!
(unless I had a guy to snuggle with, while watching a funny movie by the fire... that might be a little better)

Enjoy these...

not really sure about the snow.

Thanks to all who made it a great first day of winter!!

Saturday morning we had a great breakfast (thanks Kathy), followed by the assembly line of pumpkins gutting. It was rather chilly outside for the kids so we gutted the pumpkins out side then brought them inside to let the kids carve.

Once they kids were inside dad and mom set up the 'spooky' walk in the forest. They found a book to read as they walked to the rock. They were funny but the parents with cameras were even better. I couldn't get into the good spots to take pictures but here's what I have.
