July

We had such a great summer - here is what I can remember from the sweet month of July:
Fireworks.
We've been to this park before to watch them over downtown.
It has a nice steep hill -perfect for rolling down.

To keep the kids busy and to exhaust them, we offered them money to run down to the tree at the bottom and then, back up again.

Lottie discovered we have a strange little cherry tree in our backyard -
it produced a whopping 4 cherries this year!

We got one Indians game in. Mitch was working and sweet Anna Mae offered to watch Lottie.
I love going and it's never enough! The boys were getting pretty shaggy, but I like it that way until school starts up and Mitch threatens me.

And this guy got his peepers lasered and doesn't need contacts anymore! He is so happy. I watched the whole thing- it was crazy. The actual surgery took like 5 minutes.  We keep telling the kids he is like Cyclops now and can shoot lasers out of his eyes, but they are a bit sceptical.

Slip and Slides of course.

Charlie got a blow out. No cut and color though.
Mitch was a genius and figured out to use the leaf blower for a more efficient and quicker drying time.

We did a lemonade stand. They actually made a pretty good profit.

I couldn't resist this one.

Back home with Jackson

After Tahoe we drove back up to Spokane with Anna Mae and Boyd (whose AC went out so the drive was not so much fun for them!). We also stole Jackson for a few weeks again. I seriously love this kid - he plays great with all my little turkeys and is so happy.
It just made the summer that much better!

Lots of games were played of course.

We went up into Idaho for some fishing. Poor Anna Mae slide down this steep hill that Mitch had everyone go down and then decided he didn't even want to go there anyway. She was a trooper.
Image

Skipping rocks. Not to brag, but Sam is pretty dang good at this! Seriously, I was taking video and everything. You can't even count how many times it goes. Anyway, it was great.
Image

Mostly we just end up hanging out while Mitch fishes. Good times?
Image

Others get turns too.

Image

We always go to Greenbluff - I can't help it!
The strawberries were all done and nothing else was ready to pick unfortunately, but we did go play in the pea pit (not to be confused by the pee pit).

Rolling around.

Throwing them up.

Peas in the glasses.

I don't know...
Image

The bees are always a hit.
Image

Ice cream!
Image

Dog piles. I love this.

Jackson would help so much - here he was setting the table and even -totally on his own- made sailboat napkins!
Image

He also loves soft pretzels and wanted the recipe so he could make some for his family when he got home. He loves his family so much - it's awesome!
Image

Cousins are pretty much the best.

Tippetts Family Photo Shoot

Since we were all together in Tahoe, a family picture had to be taken.
Image

Mitch had the camera set so it would take like 15 pictures in a row. No one really moves in this sequence but please to watch Jason and Mitch. It's like a flip book!

Everyone does silly faces now, but Jason and Mitch are still the best.
