For those who aren't aware, Internet traffic in Australia is insanely expensive (10c/mb kind of costs). For this reason, we require all students use an authenticated proxy to access the Internet. This means we can quota their network usage.
We had an email this morning for a student saying that his proxy access was denied and that he really needed it for an assignment and that he would be adversely affected if he couldn't have it! So I goes thru the cache logs, and I says to myself.. hmm.. Tekken webpages? Twistedhumor.com?
Yeah, suuuuuure you need it for course work.
