Nate's Hair Cut

Seems kinda funny to post about my husband's hair but yep it's happening (MAINLY for his mother and mother-in-law :)). He grew it out for a LONG time. Not sure exactly how long but I'm thinking almost a year. He loves long hair and could've probably grown it out longer but it was starting to bug him and when it got to the pony tail length....I mentioned once, or twice or a lot( :) )that he should get it cut. Then the day came and Tanner told him he looked like a girl cause he could put his hair in a ponytail. He got a good laugh with that one.  Anyway, he got it cut and it looks really good. He feels "naked" if you will with all that hair gone and is having a hard time getting used to it short again but he'll maybe get there. He wants to be a respected doctor when that time comes and since people are so judgmental with hair, he knows it needs to be short so goodbye forever to his long hair......tear. LOVE YOU BABE!

A.T.S.U. 2011 - The Fungus Ball

Yesterday was the A.T.S.U. Fungus Ball. Every year they put on a dinner/dance for the students and spouses/significant others and also provide babysitting (WAHOO). I had so much fun at last year's that I was looking forward to this one since our 2nd year started. I LOVE to get dressed up, LOVE when I get a date with my hubby and LOVE to dance. Nate isn't a huge fan of dancing but got on that dance floor with me and rocked out, thanks babe! I know he loved to maush (sp?) with that long hair of his. We had a lot of friends there which made it much more fun. We were all gettin' jiggy wit' it... if you will :) I could've danced all night long. Too bad it had to end. GOOD TIMES!

Thanksgiving week with my parents!

My parents came for Thanksgiving. They arrived late on the 19th and left on the 26th. They drove and got stuck in a snow storm and were stuck at a rest stop for awhile until they could see the roads. I'm so glad the weather got better and they made it still in great time and safely. Tanner was SO excited. We let him stay up until they got here around 10pm. They pulled up and Tanner ran outside and gave them big hugs as did we. We had a lot of fun while they were here. We went to a couple of Christmas boutiques in Centerville, went to the movie's and saw "Puss in Boots" which was a pretty cute show, we went to some antique stores in town, made DELICIOUS bagels - thanks Dad, had a DELICIOUS Thanksgiving dinner - thanks Mom (and for the pie lessons :)), decorated for Christmas and put up our tree and went to Wal-Mart for Black Friday on Thursday night. That was pretty funny. They started some good sell's on DVD's and toys at 10pm. We left at 9:40 and couldn't find ONE spot in the entire parking lot. It was PACKED! So my Dad dropped Nate and I off and went to find a spot. We went in and pushed our way to the DVD's. We got everyone that we wanted which was awesome and then went and got the toys we wanted. I learned that if you don't have a cart, you can squeeze in and out of area's and get things faster. My Dad even made it in and got some of the toys before they were all gone. We did awesome then came home and went to bed. We had so much fun while they were here. It always goes by so fast :( Thanks for everything Mom and Dad. We love you and miss you already!!

Happy Birthday Nate!

I'm a little behind with this post but HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!! The day of his birthday he had block testing from noon to 5 and didn't sleep much preparing the two weeks before so was on very little sleep. He got home and was a little tired, ok really tired but we made it as fun as we could for the last couple hours of the day. He wanted me to make him mexican meatloaf with a yellow cake. So that is exactly what I did. Then he opened his presents from the kids and I and some family that sent cards and gifts. I really am so lucky to have you in my life babe even though you are in your 30's :) I love you so much!!!!

Tanner picked this card out all by himself. It was cute because he always say's "Oh Yeah" and this card said that and even dangles as you shake the card. It made it extra special :)

I will miss this beautiful lake....

....when we move! Nate, I and the kids went to the lake last Tuesday night. It was really nice outside and we had to take advantage of it since it may be the last until spring rolls around again. The kids had a blast! It's been pretty cold these past couple of weeks so they haven't got to play outside very much. They were in heaven, as were Nate and I. Just to be together just the 4 of us was awesome. It seems so rare these days to get a lot of family time in. We were the only ones there as if it were our own backyard! We've had so many good times at this lake. It will definitely be missed when we move next summer..... (Oh yeah I haven't posted where we are going yet. Most of you know but we are heading to York, Pennsylvania in June sometime for Nate's 3rd and 4th year rotations. That was our first choice and we are super excited to experience the East Coast :)) Anyway...... back to what I was saying.....I think I was actually done, so enjoy the pics...haha!

Halloween week with G.& G. Gibb!

My wonderful mother in-laws came to visit. She arrived on Tuesday night of last week and then my wonderful father-in-law flew in on Saturday and they flew home together on the 1st. We had SO much fun with them. It was hard to say goodbye. It was fun that we got to spend Halloween with them. We did all of our trunk-or-treat parties on Saturday and then had more of a relaxing day on Halloween since it was their last day here. We went bowling at K-Ville's awesome (GHETTO) bowling alley. It was a lot of fun other than the smell that place has - EWWW! Tanner was SO excited to hand out candy on Halloween and on our street I knew we wouldn't get very many if not any trick-or-treaters. So Nate escaped into the garage and put on a quick costume and rang the door bell. Tanner ran to the door "We got a trick-or-treater". He opened the door and Nate disguised his voice and said trick-or-treat and Tanner gave him some candy. He was SO happy!! I looked at Jocie while Tanner was giving him candy and she couldn't stop staring at his mask. It was SO funny. Even after we shut the door, she was still looking at the door wondering what in the world just happened and who was that crazy person at our door. We had a couple others come throughout the night, so it went ok :) Anyway, we went out to eat a few times, watched some fun movies, went to Columbia to Sam's and played that week! Tanner and Jocie were hooked to their grandparents and miss them already. Thanks for coming to visit and for everything. We love you guys!! My parents are coming for Thanksgiving week. We are now looking forward to seeing them in 13 days - WAHOO!! We love visitors!
