Woo. Haven't posted in a while. I'm tired, so I've just kinda been relaxing the last few days.
I wrote some code today, I waded through puddles of glowmuck code, it's not the most friendly to code for, considering the nonstandard ways they have of defining functions. I'm used to it though, I did what I meant to do in it. I ended up using the suggested way, the way I said was inefficient, because, infact, it was the best way to do it, it just took me half a day to realize it.
I also removed a couple other security/privacy issues from it. I'm considering adding password encryption, but it would make the database incompatible with other versions of the muck. That might be a small price to pay to get encryption, I suppose.
It's kinda strange none of this stuff was done before, but considering the whole abuse of power thing, it's not so strange. Oh well, quite a bit of it is disabled now. It feels good to think that you've pissed off those people who like to abuse power. ;) *does the you-can't-retrieve-users-password-and-th ere-is-nothing-you-can-do-about-it dance*
Things are well. I'm really content with things, and their natural rate of progression, it gives you time to get comfortable.
I am pining for a good mp3 sharing system, none of them really come close to the coolness that audiogalaxy was. I miss it so much. Maybe a good system, that allows you to create a sort of private network of people sharing mp3s will come along, that would be good. For now, it's ftp servers, and web based searching. :)
yawn.
