The inner liner of the diaper is made of custom milled supersoft staydry suedecloth. Suedecloth wicks moisture away from baby, resists staining, and does not hold poo. It does not pill and stays new-looking after many washes. It is perfect for diaper inners. It keeps  baby's bottom stays dry and comfortable. The outer layer of the diaper is a breathable and waterproof polyurethane laminate(PUL) keeping wetness from leaking out. Separate cover is not needed.

AI2 Lite is only available in snap closure. We use sturdy and durable snaps. Snap closure is excellent on toddlers who outsmart the velcro.
