Mr. Grey is 2 Today!!!!

My baby is 2 today.
From the moment we saw him we knew we had something special.
He is perfectly imperfect, but perfect just the same.

He can make us laugh within a second and he knows this too.
He can snuggle like no one's business... and never misses an opportunity yet.
He loves all trucks and "ohhs and ahhs" over each one.  Every single one deserves an exclamation from this little man.

He only has a few words in his vocabulary; but knows everything and every one you are talking about.
You can ask him to go get you the blue brush, or orange ball - he does just that.
He is quick to help and quick to get into a LOAD of mischief.
He is starting to draw and color; and thinks he is pretty darn big up at the table with his Hudson and Reagan.
He loves them.
Adores all they do and tries with all his might to keep up with the big kids.

He overwhelms our home with love and light.
He is a great source of peace, which is a daily blessing.
He will give kisses on command but doesn't like to hold hands very much.
He still has a love for his binkie, which I am not caring to take away.
He also won't go without his blanket.

He is in heaven when he sees a dog and will bolt for it, and he is pretty stinking fast.
He loves rice, milk, water, bananas, apples, chocolate, grilled cheese, grapes, pretzels, oatmeal and well all hot cereal.  Hot chocolate, chicken, raw carrots and candy.
He is a good mix of Hudson and Reagan with his eating habits.  Hudson eats healthy with a few sweets, Reagan likes bananas, rice and CANDY.  Grey is right in-between.

He is in the 100% for height, 95% head and 78% weight.
He can dribble a soccer ball down the lawn, and hits a baseball right on.
He got a scooter for his birthday today and is already cruising like he owns the road.

It is hard to think that he is two.  I have been thinking a lot about what we did on Hudson and Reagan's 2nd birthdays and I remember them like they were yesterday.  What we did, what they wore and what we ate.  I am grateful I can add today to my memory bank... and will cherish him and all that this day brings.

We love you Grey Bay.  More than you will ever ever know.

xoxoxo

Family Hike

Post was written a while ago... never posted until now...

A few months ago Spencer and I took the kids on a hike... let me just say that I need to get out of my house more often.  The beauty of the area made me feel guilty that I had not known - or ventured out to it more often.  I am lazy.  There is such astounding beauty around us, and we fail to see it.  How often we take it all for grated.  For lack of a better word it is just plain stupid of us.

Now that Grey is getting a little older I am going to try and put my laziness aside and venture out into the surrounding areas more.

Our kids LOVED it, we loved it... I need to remember this.

Rachael took some family pictures last night... it was a very quick decision... and it kinda came together.
Thank goodness for neutral colored clothes.  Ha.

Natalie & CJ Engagements

Rachael and I were able to shoot the engagements of Natalie and CJ.
It was a hidden pocket in Fairfield, CA... that left us stunned with it's beauty.

The end of a Shakespeare Garden Wedding

From the ceremony to the dinner Whitney and Gorka provided a trolley for friends and family.
Ingenious... so fun.

The restaurant the reception/wedding dinner was held at was AQ in San Francisco.
Some of the best food I have had in a long time.  If you have the chance to eat there go for it.

One of my favorite moments as well... the entrée toast.

The officiant and his gal are some of Whitney and Gorka's best friends

And then there was the "dance".  The Mr. ANd Mrs. first dance... and it was pretty passionate.  They had a spanish song as their first dance, and let's be honest... Spaniards are passionate about most everything... now imagine the dance.  Nothing inappropriate, at all.  It was the passion that you could feel.  Hands down, hands down best first dance I have ever witnessed.  Movie style "first dance", if that makes sense.  I tried to capture it in pictures and you can tell there was something more than a dance ... when I look at these pictures all I think is... yes please.

This is what a first dance should be.
