Upgrading the House

Well being jobless and preparing for a mission mom and dad have seen fit to employ me as a laborer to fix up the house. Some of the jobs consist of round the house clean up but there have been a few larger jobs: painting Hyrums room and hanging new blinds, sanding and painting the wood siding on the front of the house, planting plugs in the front yard, and laying a small patio next to the front walkway(I had lots of help with that one). I thought the family might like to see some pictures so here they are.

I first have to say I had the prettiest date in the world.

Nicki, Milly, and Miley

First I have to laugh at this because of course Nicki is talking while the picture is being taken, I mean if she wasn't, it just wouldn't be a Nicki picture.

For those of you who haven't heard this story my sister Nicki has been a nurse for Milly for the past eight months while she has received her chemo for a brain tumor. Milly LOVES Hannah Montana and was recently informed that she would be able to meet her in person. Milly's mother was not able to go and asked Nicki if she would be willing to, and Nicki lovingly accepted. Milly had the time of her life, which made this a very special occasion for Nicki, and that is how Nicki, Milly, and Miley all ended up in the same photo.

My Own Blog

So I was looking through all the blogs the other day and putting a fresh coat of paint on this one, when I went to Candi's "Fresno Area Writers" blog( which needs to be revived worst than this did). While I was browsing around I went to the reviews link and looked at that Gorgette Heyer book review for the billionth time, but it got me thinking that I wanted to write reviews about the books I read and share my thoughts. I figured that since I don't live in Fresno and I'm not trying to get published I probably shouldn't post on that blog, so I created my own blog titled Matt's Most Recent Reads! TAHDA!!! Anyway every one is welcome.

Hyrum is a Soccer Pro!

So Duderman, as he is so affectionately called, is playing soccer. His awesome skills have led to his team being undefeated after TEN games! This Wednesday and Saturday is the championship tournament, which hopefully his team will emerge with a first place victory!

I think I might add that his awesome skills are due to my grueling practices and harsh workouts.

Christmas Eve Day

Well it's the day of Christmas Eve and i just want to take some room on the family blog to say how much my family means to me and that i care for them soooooooooooo much and how much i've thought about them especially those who wont be here this year. I realized today that this will most likely be my last Christmas with my family before my mission, and how much i'll miss them when i'm gone (i'm realizing that it's not olny hard to talk but also hard to type when you're crying).
