Fifty Amazing Years
January 3, 2025 It's odd to even say it out loud but my mom and dad celebrated 50 years of marriage this year! It sounds almost unreal but they did it. I wish we had thought of a fun way to celebrate them but it seemed a little odd to plan something so soon after my brother's passing. I thought that it would be hard to get people together and only be reminded that Jonathan is missing at those types of things now. Just too soon. Janae and Jacqui were thoughtful enough to go and get a cake and balloons and took it over as they were getting ready for their big fiftieth wedding anniversary getaway to Walt Disney World. I'm so glad that they decided to go on a big vacation together and it sounds like they had a ton of fun! Dad complained that Mom was dragging him all over the parks. They averaged something like 20,000 steps a day and Mom wasn't stopping for anything. Walt Disney World is one of their favorite places to visit so it seemed fittin...
