We decided to camp at San Onofre the weekend of the mud run so that we would be closer to the race and they wouldn't have to drive as far, plus camping on the beach is fun.
Peter and Kallie were both very worn out after a long week of fun. This was our last stop on our trip, camping. It took a little coaxing to get them asleep, but they were both so tired and needed it!
I went in to check on them and they were sleeping in the exact same position.
Cute Carter being patient while his mama ran in the mud run.
This was our awesome set up. My parents have a trailer and I was very grateful to be able to sleep in the bed and not on a cot or the floor. Made it a little more enjoyable for this pregnant body of mine.
Our view from the fence. We didn't camp directly on the beach, which was nice cause we were closer to the bathrooms :), for those middle of the night bathroom runs I had to make, and we didn't have to worry about kids running into the ocean. We were a little short handed with everyone gone running in the mud run.
The water was way to cold to go swimming but we had fun jumping over the shallow waves and playing in the sand.
Kallie and Bry
My cute little fam.
Jumping over the waves.
My handsome hubba!
The view was gorgeous as the sun was starting to go down. It was nice and relaxing.
Kallie found a dead crab and decided it would be fun to play with.
My sister and her little family. This is after the Mud Run, you can tell because they are supe sun burnt :(
Camping wouldn't be complete with out s'mores over the camp fire.
I am thinking Peter is liking this idea.
We had a gorgeous sunset to enjoy that night.
Bry was the master marshmallow roaster.
We had such a great time. I always love going home and visiting my family. We always have fun and it is nice to just go "home".
Until next year :)
