Well thanks for asking. :) I'm liking it just fine! Just a few things...
FIRST. Let us discuss tiny ponies. In my apartment...we like our tiny ponies. It all began when I showed my roommate Charlotte THE tiny pony. You remember. The one that I petted. In the petting zoo. It came up to my knee. (In case you forgot!) Welllll... that was just the beginning of the tiny ponies in my life.
I found THIS tiny pony under my bed covers.
This tiny pony was in my food cupboard.
This tiny pony was under the couch cushion.
And not pictured... are tiny ponies behind the blinds and under the sink. Welcome... to apartment #311!
In other news... my latest waste of time... I decided one Saturday that I
needed to do an art project! So I built this tree on our wall! It's a
tree of thankfulness. I'm thankful for the leaves you see :) That is
all!

Woohoo!
Conference is this weekend! Woohoo :) I'm so excited! Annnnd... this evening I drove back home. Weird things about being home...
1. The first time I came home... I accidentally tried to unlock the door with my apartment key. Symbolic? Maybe. :)
2. When I lay on my bed the ceiling isn't a couple of inches away from my face.
3. The carpet and wood floors are so beautiful and light colored.
4. The carpet doesn't make your feet black (Yeah. I know. I promise we vacuum. Our apartment just has weird new carpet in it... that turns your feet black)
5. We have a LOT of food in our house!
6. There is a blue deer on my wall. I missed those walls :)
That's all.

There's good news... and there's bad news!
THE GOOD NEWS:
-My parents came down to BYU to see me today! And to do some other things :) But also to see me!
-They brought me some food!
-They took me out to Zupas! Woohoo!!
-I have awesome roommates :)
-I just had some hot chocolate.
-I realized... that yogurt is my second favorite food... (second only to hot chocolate!)
-I went to a BYU choir showcase yesterday and it was excellent!
-It's getting closer to Thanksgiving! It's a good holiday.
THE BAD NEWS:
-Instead of working on my homework tonight...
- I decided to work on my future! I remade my list of possible majors! And it has growwwwwn.
Groan. I now have a list of 21 possible majors. Some very sweet people say "That's awesome that you have so many talents and interests" I just say... I'm just clueless. Or I tell them I'm majoring in fence sitting.

Happenings at BYU
It is my SECOND week of college so far. And I just thought I'd take a moment to document a couple of things.
Weird things that have happened to me today:
1. I was in the Fine Arts Center here at the Y :) It was a particularly nice quiet day in there today... and there were faint strains of "Come Thou Fount" coming out of a Recital Hall. Well... all of a sudden! Out pops Vocal Point and out comes a harmonica... and suddenly they are gracing us (us being... me and like 3 other people in the HFAC today) with a couple of hymns. I recorded it on my laptop. But apparently I don't know how...because there is no sound on that recording! Oops. Which makes me sad. But apparently... they're making a CD which makes me glad. :)
2. I was walking past the Law building today... and there were a bunch of people wearing fake mustaches. Okaaaaay... :) Some of them even had mustache eyebrows! Chew on that for a moment.
3. I was studying in my car :) (yeah... that's weird! :) But sometimes it's quieter in a car!) and I'm PRETTY sure I saw some boys going to serenade a couple of girls... maybe not. Maybe they were just knocking on their door with a guitar. You never know these days...
But overall... it's been pretty fun so far! :) I'm sure there will be more to come! And when I figure out how to load pictures onto my computer... you'll be able to see my "college life" in all of it's glory!
Over and out.

Oh summer...
...why do you have to leave so soon?
Will there be a place for sidewalk chalk in college? Probably not... bummer! :)
...It's hard to tell. But there be a prince hiding in those colorful magical woods (courtesy of Jonathan!)
Annnnd. Of course. The olympics were bound to show up on our driveway!

Goodbyes and Grownups
This past little while has been full of goodbyes!
Goodbye preschoolers! (Our preschoolers graduated, yes they had tiny caps and gowns and everything!)
Goodbye AP tests
Goodbye Productions
Goodbye Teachers
Goodbye Friends
Goodbye Hillcrest! (That's a graduation picture up there by the way :) Also. My momma made me that dress! Whhhhaaaa? She's amazing!)
It's a little bit sad, this thing we call growing up :) But. It's necessary. And now my to do list seems all grown up and a little bit over my head! But... it's hello job search, hello BYU, hello cooking my own meals, hello going grocery shopping! (I'm afraid I'll do something dumb like... buy bananas for a dollar a pound or something! :)) It's a little crazy. But. That's how it is! And I'm a little bit excited!

There's a Locket in my Pocket!
Have you ever read that book... there's a Wocket in my Pocket? It's a good book! I didn't even know it existed until a few weeks ago! Oh the things that preschool can teach you!
Anywho.
1st Semester of this year I had Jewelry I. It was a good class and the teacher was really awesome! She helped me take on this beasty project...or at least I thought it was insanely hard. But... I learned a lot... and I'm proud to say that I eventually got over my fear of lighting the torch.
Here's my locket! The design element was definitely new to me! I know that seems silly to say...because honestly... it's just a bunch of simple leaf shapes and a little rose... but. It was tough for me to come up with! :)
(I realized after I took these that there are little like... dusty thingies in here that I need to clean out... but... I'll do that later!) I sculpted that rose out of little wax sheets and then my teacher cast it for me.
This little locket is like my baby. It took me SO many early mornings (Poor Jared had to come with me every morning for like... probably a month and a half!) and then when I finally finished it... I dropped it. And it broke. I was so furious. I know, I know... but I was bringing it to an interview that day and I had to present it all broken! Sad. Then... I fixed it... and I took it home. And I DROPPED IT again. Oh my goodness. I was really mad. Again. So I took it in... and fixed it! And by then I thought I'd gotten pretty smart... so I took it to school the next day to polish it and I carried it around in a little tupperware (how do you spell that? Ah well. You get the point!) wrapped in batting. I polished it and then carried it around all day... and then after school... I KNOCKED it off of my desk. And... I thought it'd be fine since I'd wrapped it up... I opened it up. And it was broken. I just sat there and looked at it for a minute. And then... I cried! Yep. It's true. I cried about a locket. Silly silly Rachel. I was just so ashamed that I couldn't keep it safe for one minute! And so mad that I broke it again! And... it was basically just ridiculous and I had another interview the day afterward! But... I mustered up some courage... and went in the morning of the interview to fix it (I know... that poor teacher!!!!!) and then CAREFULLY carried it to my car... and then later I CAREFULLY took it to the interview. AND CAREFULLY showed it to them. (P.S. I'm sorry to anyone that had to experience standing by me while I was holding it! :) "Don't bump me! Don't make me drop this!!")
I think now it's going to live in a tupperware forever. And I think I've decided I can't have nice things... because I break things WAY too easily!
Anywho. That's my little locket. Which does NOT go in my pocket. :)

Senioritis
Mmmmmmy goodness. This week has been tough for me homework wise. Which is super dumb because... I don't even have very much! I get home... and suddenly... I have lots of things to do.
Things I have done to avoid doing homework this week:
ORGANIZED MA STUFF. Definitely a need. Especially the part where I made these labels. Whhhhhhhhhaaaat?

Yes. That is a blurry picture of an ALLIGATOR(crocodile? Who knows!) label. And of course a train label. CHEECK.
ART. Definitely high priority. Hehe. A friend asked me to paint him a random blob painting. So I painted this. It was actually super fun! I'm not much of an abstract artist... but I liked it a lot!
The doodling actually got so bad it got to this empty roll of tape. And then a bunch of random papers in my room! It HAD to be done right then!
EATING. "I'm hungry... I can't do homework when I'm hungry!" Yeah right Rachel... no one believes you!
Most of this was done in an attempt to avoid this... OH man. Nooooo. Not gov homework!
