Grandma Rose
"Grandma Rose grew up to be your mommy!!"
"Grandma Rose gave me my doggie because she loves me so much and she let me bring him home!!" (Squeezes his doggie)
So there you go. Lincoln knows the 2 most important things about Grandma Rose. She is my mom and he got doggie while he lived at her house in Las Vegas.
I love my mother tremendously. I am grateful for her path in life and the older I get the more I appreciate her.
Thank goodness she came to visit. She helped me on my journey to figuring out my son and we had a fabulous time together!
Yep. You are right, Lincoln.

The HayDrews Strike Back!
My years at BYU were crowned with one amazing year living in the same complex as my sister and her husband, Peter. Our apartments were separated by a parking lot so we could yell at each other as we pulled in or if we saw the other leaving the other apartment.
Every night we played Supersmash Brothers together until I said "2 more games! I'm the only one who works and who has to get up early!" We would eat together, watch movies every weekend, and I would drive them all to school on my way to my first teaching job.
It was the year I have saudades* for. I crave how things were but with kids and distance, things are never quite the same. We have a fun time trying, though.
This visit included...
A Christmas Eve visit to IKEA! Turns out that is the best time to go- it was practically empty.
Copious amounts of Mario Kart and Supersmash Brothers. I'll have you know I kicked everyone's ox (the first night).
The now annual HHH Christmas Eve Talent Show- Peter joined in as well as the kids.
Walks around Stone Mountain
Love me some Andrews.
*Saudade is a Portuguese word that has no direct translation in English. It describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing will never return

FALL
Fall is the reeeal deal here in the South. Especially in our neighborhood, built in the 50's, with a ton of HUUUGE huge huge huge trees.
We coulda raked every other day and filled 10 bags. I didn't mind, though. I raked for the first time in my life (I always wanted to) and also jumped into my first pile of leaves. Not nearly as padded and comfy as it appeared in my research (Calvin and Hobbs, Charlie Brown) Lincoln loves jumping into the piles, and continues to do so in neighbor's yards when we go on walks.
Thanksgiving was a blast at the Haymore Home.
You know. Ate ate ate, played. Ate ate. Bought a Christmas tree!!

Super Halloween
Like 95% of the 3-year-olds in the United States, Lincoln was 'Piderman this year for Halloween! He was Spiderman on Halloween, the day before, the day after, and today, too. That kid is so funny! He has a funny dance where he shoots webs out of his hands and is always getting the bad guys.
Since he was a superhero, we decided to all go with the theme.
Introducing...
Superman!
The Incredible Hulk
and Thor.
We found another Super Family at the Trunk or Treat. (Looove us some Hutchisons :))
and had the World's Cutest Trick or Treat Group!!
Check them out!!

Punkin' (as said by the old farmer)
We went to Nashville a couple weeks ago because my sweet BROTHER was there on a conference from Utah! We only got to spend a few hours with it but boy, was it worth it
We introduced him to the fameous biscuits at Loveless Cafe (thus all the "yummy" faces)
and enjoyed a little rockin' and sightseein'.
On our drive back the next day, we googled pumpkin patches in the area we were driving through. We found some pumpkins, and they were at a farm, but they were purchased at a neighboring farm and lined up neatly in a row.
My quest for authenticity is never ending. I dream of being a farmer but whenever we meet one they let us know how hard it is to make it as a farmer these days. Our punkin' seller lived on a family farm but recently converted to raising cattle.
So we looked at his tractors,
held the baby goats (Steven LOOOOOVED it more than life! He wanted to take one back),
and picked our our punkin's
but not from a patch (:
And as for my authenticity, Iguess being a mom is as authentic as it gets. Wipin' bums, cooking all the meals... you know, I'm keepin it real.

Chaser!!!
Our little buddy...
It's like we can't even remember life without sweet Chase Christopher. He is very fun-loving. If he hears laughter he crawls as fast as he possibly can to get in on the party. He likes to play and wreastle, and hang out with the older kids. Chase is sweet. He rewards us all with his dimpled smiles and big open-mouthed kisses. He chats, splashes, and will not stay still for a diaper change or to get his clothes on.
