Super Fantastic lunch at the American Girl Store

Posted in General Information on April 21, 2011 by Janet

Christy always does the funnest things. Kyla and I went shopping for the perfect thing to wear to lunch. We found “Cinderella” dresses at JC Penneys that had matching doll dresses. Kyla looked like a princess.

Adults and kids kept saying how cute she was with a doll that matched

The only problem was the Lily had lost her glasses so we bought her a new blue pair as soon as we got to the store.

The newest American Girl doll

Christy bought Arwen the hula costume. It is so cute.

They had seats for the doll and everything was adorably cute

If the child didn’t bring a doll with them, they had some to borrow so we gave one to Cami. She loved that doll, talked to it, giggled and ended up tasting it.

Don't they look alike? Both sooo cute

All this was Gwen's lunch

Cami thought Christy was great, too.

Kyla got tic-tac-toe pizza

But she didn’t eat any of it. (It’s in our frig.) because she was too full of the stuff we got served first. We STARTED out with warm mini CINNAMON ROLLS! How great is that? That is the perfect way to start lunch. Then we got fruit skewers and pizza rolls and a few vegetables. For dessert we got a cookie and little heart-shaped cake and chocolate mousse with a flower sticking out of it. Even Lily got a cup and saucer. My salmon was delicious, oddly enough.

Kellie and Christy - giddly as school girls

Kyla has been anticipating this lunch all week. Every day this week, the first thing she has said to me in the morning is to tell me how many more days until we go to the American Girls store. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t live up to her expectation but she said it was Amazing and Super Fantastic. THANKS CHRISTY (and Tom).

Adventure City

This amusement park is perfect for a 5 1/2 year-old. I happen to have a 5 1/2 year old staying with me this week. She went on everything and had a blast. We took Kellie and her two girls.

First was the Giggle Wheel.

Off they go

Next was the carousel

The girls went on this ride MULTIPLE times

Gwen LOVED this ride and started screaming crying each time it ended.

Kyla and I went on the spinning balloon ride .

Petting area

I bought some food to feed the goats but the goats got so excited that they started pushing and bumping Kyla to get the food so she threw the food so the goats would leave her alone. Good thinking. The handler gave Kyla some hay to feed them. The goats are not nearly as excited about hay. Then Kyla brushed them all…

This took alot of arm strength.

We all went on the train around the park. Kellie and her girls went twice while Kyla and I went on the small LOUD rollercoaster.

Kyla went up the climbing wall

The attendant followed her up and told her where to put her hands and feet.

Kyla made it all the way to the top and pushed the red button and the Indiana Jones song played.

Kyla and Gwen did a victory dance.
